5.0 out of 5 starsPowerful Water Purifier in Current Market
Reviewed in India on 2 January 2019
Aquaguard Geneus Plus is powerful water purifier currently available in the market, done a lot of research. Impressed with 7 stages of purification. The seller "Ashi Sales" is very cooperative although i buy from online, very supportive.
[directly bought from EurekaForbes] Have used this unit for a year now. The unit is good, the TDS can be controlled well. But beware of maintenance. The filters need to be replaced every year. they will cost Rs. 4000 together. The unit also stopped working when just about to complete a year. The motherboard had to be replaced. It was done under warranty. But note that there is no further warranty on the replaced unit !! Normally companies give 3 months warranty on replaced parts, if they were covered under warranty before. The motherboard costs Rs.4500.
I think buying water can would workout much cheaper !
Purchased from EurekaForbes website directly for 25190 rupees 2weeks back. Really good purifier.. mineral Guard is useful to have proper TDS level. TDS is getting down from 220 to 66 MG at 1. With mineral Guard at 5..got TDS at 160. Excellent for drinking water TDS between 60 to 160. Water dispenser rate is good.. quick purification ..easy installation. After sale service will be little delay but they completed installation with in 20mins..
There were one or two minor particles at the time of installation in the water tank. Service engineer said need to flush tank 3-4 times. After this purifier worked okay for a month. We then noticed fine, translucent particles in the water. The service engineer who came to address this said that the prefilters were not flushed properly so he flushed them and went (actually any particles from pre-filter will not come out from RO). We didn't see the particles for 2-3 days after that and then their quantity increased. After this we have had multiple visit from EurekaForbes and they even took water samples. However they are not telling what the particles are and whether there is any harm if someone drinks them, as it is very difficult to spot them in the water. We have another Geneus installed in another house and were not able to drain the water for a few months. Upon opening that purifier's tank there was a layer of black deposit inside the tank. The purifier was working fine when this water had got collected in the tank, so there shouldn't have been any precipitation from the water. In conclusion, the purifier is not able to detect if any fine material is entering in the drinking water and we cannot be assured of the quality (and safety) of the water as nobody takes into account particles while testing water quality.
We got a defective piece with erratic suction problem. The service technician has visited 3 times but has not been able to solve it. It seems Euraka Forbes just tries to sell new products but after sales service is very bad.No one is willing to take responsibility for their product.
