This book has been my trusted reference since its first edition and is the best book on the topic that I have ever encountered. It takes you from a round-up of 'the stuff from school' all the way to differential equations; but in contrast to other books, you don't get lost on the way. Every chapter is well structured and full of great explanations, examples and illustrations, as well as related to real-world engineering problems; this makes it extra fun to work through.
