Endless: The Beauty of Your Age: A Guide to Mature Skin Kindle Edition
If you are a woman over 40, this may be the most important book you’ll ever read.
But first, a warning: This book teaches truths that sometimes contradict skin care product advertisements.
Endless: The Beauty of Your Age empowers women with important facts so that they may be their own skin care advocate.
The book is divided into four sections.
- The first section is a guide to daily skin care where you learn what to do and why.
- The second section is a guide to weekly skin care. Mary explains the benefits of a weekly regimen and details what not to do.
- The third section is a guide to monthly skin care. You learn why monthly care is just as important as daily care.
- And the fourth section addresses challenges mature women face with their skin, including changes associated with menopause and caring for your skin during stressful times.
Mary also addresses skin care for women who have had chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
In addition to these helpful guides, Endless features Mary’s Facial Menu. This includes three tiers of care choices to fit individual lifestyles. During a busy day or season of life, Mary’s Facial Menu identifies the basic needs for your skin that are non-negotiable. For women with a little more time, Mary outlines an intermediate menu. And for women who want to attain the most benefit possible, Mary’s Facial Menu identifies steps for the maximum benefit to your skin.
Endless is specifically designed to be brand neutral. But that does not mean Mary does not help you find products that will be good for your skin. You will find a list of helpful ingredients to look for when making skin care purchases. Mary also includes a list of ingredients to be cautious about or to avoid altogether. No more wasting your hard-earned money on skin care guesses!
More than many books, Endlesspersonalizes skin care and shares stories of real people who have struggles just like you. Learn through their experiences and gain wisdom for your own skin care journey.
If you have ever been overwhelmed by all the choices in skin care products, Endless is for you. If you have ever been confused about how to care for your skin, Endless is for you. If you have ever thought that “beauty” doesn’t apply to you anymore, Endless is for you.

About the author
Top reviews from other countries
Mary offers practical advice for any budget and time limitation. She stresses the importance of each woman being her own skincare advocate as she guides us to resources where we can find the answers we need to make informed decisions.
In this book she discusses a broad spectrum of skin care routines (daily, weekly, and monthly) involving: cleansing techniques, serum, eye cream, toner, moisturizing, sunscreen, lip care, exfoliation, masks, eyebrow upkeep, professional facials, chemical peels, led lights, dermaplane, and the effects of menopause, disease, cancer treatments, and stress on our skin.
Mary is both encouraging and informative as she explains the whys and how’s of good skincare. She is brand neutral as she details the different types of products available. She discusses how to choose the best routine/product for our own skincare needs. She gives reasons for avoiding certain ingredients as well as noting important ones to look for in taking care of our skin. She also includes websites which have helpful information for understanding the effects that particular ingredients may have on our skin/health.
The author has included relatable and often humorous stories (the one about the gold mask and eyebrow had me simultaneously giggling and gasping in horror!) that illustrate her point that we are all truly “sisters through skin.”
Mary Duerden is clearly passionate about her profession and her enthusiasm and encouraging attitude in this book is contagious. I would highly recommend!
I am a creature of habit. My routine has not changed much in the past 60 years. Reading “Endless: The Beauty of Your Age”, has helped me understand that my body and skin change, and that I might have to change my routine slightly here and there.
This book was very informative and an easy read. I could relate to some of the stories and the crazy myths that we hear over the years. I liked how Mary started with the first step and then led me all the way through. I appreciate the glossary at the end of the book for easy access. You can tell Mary is passionate about her work and did a lot of research to have this book correct, and you can tell she loves what she does.
I will definitely buy this book for my four daughters.
