When it's time to take my new born baby, this thing did not work. When charging the receiver unit, the status light came on, and maybe 30 minutes later it turned off, I thought it was ready to go. But it won't even turn on, back to charge it again, and an hour later when the status light was off. Unable to turn it on. What a piece of garbage. This thing is made in India, no better than those cheap crappy trigger made in China that you can buy for $40, this one cost me $200. So my bad, I thought the lion battery is dead, so I leave it attached to the charger, but unable to turn it on, well the status light was on but then after 30min, it will turn off. Also by changing to different frequency nothing happens, no trigger at all. I am not happy with this kit, and I don't think it's Swiss technology, just a knockoff.
Also note if you're using these with 430ex or other speedlites that are hot shoe only, you'll need to buy an accessory that is a female hot shoe with a miniphone cord that'll plug in. I'd personally recommend item #0138 from FlashZebra.
very reliable long enough range to trigger flashes in the opposite end zone for football photography
the other reviews are right about the power buttons but if you keep them in the cases they should be fine
Update: I have since gotten rid of these as they became a major pain to deal with. Instead I got the new pocket wizard system (Flex etc) and find them a far superior product to the Elinchrom units.
