I am old time football gamer, played first version of Pro evolution soccer in 95 when it was called winning eleven. At that time pes was way better in gameplay and fifa was good in every other departments. With time both games have evolved a lot.
After playing demo of pes20 and fifa 20 i was not convinced to buy either of them at their asking price. License issue with Pes is another big problem which can be fixed but still exists. Plus more focus nowadays is on online gaming which i don't prefer at all 😉.
So fifa 18 is being available at pretty affordable price along with world cup update which makes it a good deal if you are more focused on gameplay. The teams are older and overall it lacks little polishing of fifa 20 but everything else is just d same.
Journey is included which i would like to try.
Volta football demo was just ok for me, older Fifa street was way better.
So if you are looking for a football game which is worth your money and online is not your priority then you can pick this one. Also if you are a PES fan , then try it before changing to Fifa.
thanks.

So purchasing fifa 18 when even fifa 20 is few months old doesn't sounds exciting but read my review to give it a second thought.

Many new features are available on Fifa 18 but some which really does matter I'm sharing 😎:
1. Awesome GRAPHICS* as usual, as this the aspect to which Fifa hits hard as usual to it's all time rival .
2. Super CONTROL in Creative attacking and ball play/possession with improved control as of defence (try to sync jockey to timely tackling).
3. Set piece is still unpredictable as usual (penalty returns to it's traditional form unlike The last title.)
4. More chance of WoW moments (try to risk everything !!! more often 🙄)
5. Career modes:
A. Both Manager & Pro/Player now features a wide range of upgrades after almost a decade, most significant being the cinematics(scenes of player transactions, signing, news broadcasting, etc.) with subtitles, rather than just texts with information.
B. ALEX HUNTER "The Journey" Vol.2 features more extravagant upgrades (editing Hunters looks for both on and of the pitch experience) gamers can continue from the point Fifa 17 "The Journey" ended, with the developed stats around 75 overall (Positions: ST,CAM,LW,RW), which falls to 71 if playing "The Journey" for first time.
And last but not least ,
(*). Real Player Motion is the Craziest 😎😍😢. Great Animation System that brings players such as Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro{CR7}, Thomas Müller, Dele Alli, Antoine Griezmann and other top players' real life personality to Fifa 18.

FIFA 18 in a nutshell:
Pros:
1)Unreal Graphics thanks to frostbite. EPL feels identical to the TV presentation. Nice to just soak in the atmosphere knowing graphics are at peak.
2)Journey : Alex Hunter returns, only this time it feels far more effort has been put into the story mode so that we feel an instant connect with him.
A plethora of cut scenes have been added and unlike last years soul-less story mode this year's entry feels much more dynamic and interactive.
3)Licenses:Many more licneses have been brought under the banner, outclassing PES completely.
4)Ultimate Team is better than ever.
Cons:
1)Gameplay favours the strikers, defenders are mere puppets in front of high ranked players as they feel unstoppable.
2)Besides adding cut scenes for transfer negotiations(which is a welcome change),rest of the interface is exactly the same.
3)Commentary too is the same age old one. It desperately needs a revamp.
Go for it if you are the yearly FIFA buyer. Having played PES,it definitely has a much better, smoother gameplay, but for the overall experience of football simulation, nothing comes close to this year's FIFA.

Definitely worth the price Rs. 404/-. Being a PES fan i just wanted to keep one FIFA game in my PS4 game collection. And FIFA 18 is worth having for the price you pay. Even the soundtracks are the one the best in FIFA 18. The WORLD CUP 2018 RUSSIA update (7 GB download) is lit and the best feature and i mainly wanted to get this game for the world cup nostalgia and keep it as a part of my ps4 collection of games.

This was my second run with the Fifa Series, being a hardcore FPS, RPG & Strategy Gamer, this game just brings you into the world of football; the controls are easy with linear learning curve. Graphics are next generation, a little step-up from Fifa 17, gives you the feel of watching real football match. If you like story mode of any games, you can continue 'The Journey of Alex Hunter' very similar to its predecessor. Career mode is as addictive as ever. In short if you already own Fifa 17, then you will not find much difference to its game mechanics, my main reason for getting this title was to live through the Fifa 2018 World Cup, which was truly fascinating. As of now post installation, the game requires around 5.3 GB of update which has to do with the world-cup tournaments.

Much to like, much to regret
Reviewed in the United States on 6 November 2017Platform For Display: PlayStation 4Edition: Standard EditionVerified Purchase
There is much to like about this game... but also much to regret. This review is limited to the offline play as I have no interest in the online multi-player part of the game.
Besides the "campaign" component of the game, called the Journey, FIFA 18 offers two offline modes, including an arcade-like instant Kick Off mode, and a Squad Battle as part of the Ultimate Team (offline) mode, which allows you to manage a team and move them through various matches and tournaments. In both modes, the spectacle of the game is amazing--the ambiance of the sportscasters, the graphics, and the uniforms/kits make it almost like watching the real thing--except you get to control some of the game. However, despite there being many recorded responses, after playing the game for about 10 hours, you can easily predict and voice the running commentary at the same time as the announcers ("Well, his teammates aren't too happy." "It's bound to prey on his mind for the rest of the match." "That's flown over the crossbar!") At that point, it stops enhancing the game and instead reinforces the canned nature of the commentary.
I do not agree that the gameplay completely fails to mirror actual football/soccer games. There are a lot of problems, however--even when you have switched your control to a specific player. There are moments when you cannot use even the limited set of operations (e.g., slide tackle) despite the fact that you are supposedly controlling the player. Since the game doesn't normally allow players to run into each other (but does allow unpenalized fouls on the goal keeper), the moment the AI takes over even while you supposedly are controlling the player has the comical effect of making the player run literal rings around another player--not getting close enough to interfere with their attack.
Also, while corner kicks--in real-life gameplay--create big risks/opportunity for scoring, only one time in a hundred has anyone scored in a corner-kick situation. It's easy to block out the opponent, while the opponent easily blocks out most attempts to exploit the situation.
The AI is far from perfect and your own team is, by necessity, partly run by the AI. When switching players manually, the AI does not even attempt to understand why you moved players in one direction. When your attention moves to another player, they run right back in whatever direction they originally were running. The effect on the opponent team is even worse since it is 100% run by the AI. The AI performance often gives the appearance that the ability of the opponent changes dramatically when you do better. The only way to fix this is to change the many game settings offered, such as speed and acceleration, goalkeeper ability, shot error (but with the significant exception of AI defense abilities, which never seem to fail).
There are two areas that do not match real-life football. One of these is the vertical angle at which shots are made, which seems to vary from 5 degrees to 60 degrees, whereas the typical goal shot in real life will be 0 to 30 degrees. This aspect of the game gives the impression that US-Americans programmed the game for gridiron field goals, with an elevation of 10 to 30 feet in the air. The result is that more shots than not will go flying completely over the goal. I can't wrap my head around why this bug has not been fixed yet.
The second bug has to with how often the AI will allow your own players as well as the totally AI-controlled players to be offside. This happens at least three times as much as it ever does in normal play on a field/pitch by any set of players over the age of 10.
My attempts to correct for the strange effects of the AI, by using game settings, works for the instant match Kick-Off mode. Unfortunately, you cannot adjust the relevant game settings for the Squad Battle. So, you're stuck with all the problems of the AI for Squad Battles. I haven't decided whether it is worth starting any more squad battles given how unplayable those are. I am teetering on giving up on FIFA for that reason and changing over to its well-known competitor.
Good arcade game, interesting story gameplay for The Journey. Irritating AI that can be corrected for in the arcade mode, but makes for an unplayable offline Ultimate Team game mode. If you are looking for an arcade-style game, wait for the price to get under $20. If you think you'll like The Journey too, $30 might not be too much. I would only pay over $30 if I were going to be playing online matches every weekend.
