There are many videos on YouTube that explain how to replace the HD data cable on your Mac. Some people have complained that the pin on the end of the cable is hard to see and put in place. I suggest a magnifying glass if your vision is not very good. I agree its small but I was able to get it to slide in and snap it in place without having to squint my eyes. The optical cable also has glue on one side so it secures to the bottom of the laptop out of the way when you install the HD
Considering that I almost got conned into spending $325, I think I did good. I am taking the WD 500GB HD back to BestBuy.
So, look up what your laptop needs before buying, the model number for your data cable is printed on the cable itself, look it up and match before buying.
