A 1940s Gothic mystery
A dilapidated manor on a remote Scottish isle. An old maze, concealing something even older. Strange dreams and awakening desires.
Can I forget the burdens of my past? My father’s death, my narrow life in a small-minded town?
Dorchadas House has its secrets. There are strange cries in the night. So many corridors. So many rooms.
My dreams take me to the maze planted centuries ago, to honour the ‘old ways’. It calls to me in the night and I can't resist. It's drawing me closer.
Here, on Eirig, Samhain Eve is approaching. The island folk are preparing to honour the dead and the Goddess Nicneven, as they have done for generations past.
I have my part to play, the housekeeper tells me, and so do her sons, brutish and domineering.
If I submit, will I gain my freedom, or is Dorchadas House to be my prison?
Surrender to 'Dorchadas House' and discover its mysteries for yourself...
A novella, combining elements of folk-horror with adult themes.
