About the Author
Gary Renard slowly and carefully wrote The Disappearance of the universe over a period of nine years after undergoing a powerful spiritual awakening in the early 90's when he met two beings who he describes as ascended masters.
Today, Gary is an author who writes, travels and discusses metaphysical principles with other spiritual seekers all over the world.

This book is very deep in its content. Many concepts have made me think in newer ways. Some of the lines have settled many of my doubts and queries.
The book revolves around ACIM, being familiar with ACIM is a must to go through this book. Reading it directly without ACIM, will hardly make any sense.
The author, Gary Renard, is actually the student in this book. His two teachers, Arten and Pursah, and who are considered to be two ascended masters, appeared to Gary to present ideas of advanced spirituality to him as Jesus teaches them in the spiritual text known as A Course in Miracles. This Disappearance book contains many concepts that you may not agree with, and some you may find down right offending, so it definitely requires an open mind. Gary's two teachers present to him the truth of our existence, and that what we are experiencing here is not really life, but just an insignificant dream. Of course, the idea that the universe in of itself being an insignificant dream is of little value so they give us a practical way of dealing with what the world throws in our face on any given day, as we go about living what we think of as our lives. And not only does the practical advice given - a process called "true forgiveness" - actually works, but it's the way back home to God.
The Disappearance of the Universe can be summed up with the following two quotes; the first quote from A Course in Miracles, followed by a quote from Disappearance: "Those who seek controversy will find it. Yet those who seek clarification will find it as well." And, "The most striking evidence of this approach's validity will be that it works." I can assure you that it does work, if you are willing to apply it. I love this book so much that I'm currently reading it for the 15th time. No such thing as too much repetition when it comes to taking in the truth, as it just sinks in on a deeper level each read through, which makes it that much easier to remember to apply it when need be, which of course is the most important part.
Anyway, this is by far my favorite book ever, as it puts the teachings of A Course in Miracles into "street language." This book even inspired me to do my own book based on the Disappearance book as well as Gary's second book, Your Immortal Reality: How to Break the Cycle of Birth and Death, which I also highly recommend. Giddy up!
