This book is just like this. It's a compilation of 7 short stories moved in different storyline different characters but more importantly one thing that just hold all these stories is a woman murdered her close ones due to certain reasons.
.
If we talk about the first story it's the story of Mahua who has lots of dreams in her eyes but forcefully married with Nirupam without her consent. Soon after she found herself in a state of frustration where she was happy or pretend to be happy to the outer world but from deep inside she is just like a bird prisoned in a cage who has wings to fly but couldn't use it.
.
She was so depressed & frustrated that she finally murdered her own husband just to have the pleasant satisfaction she was looking for since her marriage day.
.
It's not intriguing?

🙂 The cover of the book is beautifully designed with a commando uniform having a gun in her hands that so much appealing. The writing style of the book is mixture of different kind of aspects which are blended with crime suspense thriller mystery & many more that just let you know about the diversity of the book. The language is more than easy but below of moderate. It's give you an enough brain storming to make out or understanding the theme behind it. But it's going be more or a less engaging book which just holds you up till you finish All characters are nicely developed with equal amount of importance to everyone that just make you started living a life with them. No-one ever murder a person with his or her choice. It's happened only when you are helpless or hopeless. It's a perfect example.
The book is a collection of the seven most dangerous female killers of India. Or you can say that this book is a collection of 7 short stories related to the murder mystery. The reasons for the murder are different in all the stories but the common factor of all the murders is the woman. She is the one who plans and executes. These stories explore the dark side of a woman and reveal some aspects such as aggression, anger, and cruelty which are rarely associated with women. The book sheds light on a very different side of a woman, a woman who is supposed to be the epitome of love and care can be heartless and ruthless even when covered by greed or lust.
When I was reading this book I was thinking that while this book is based on the murders done by women (true incidents), the book should also include the Kerala massacre in which a woman killed 6 members of her own family in 14 years. When I first read about this crime I was shocked how could someone do something like this for a long time of 14 years and when she get arrested she was very calm & composed. Then I came upon the last story in the book which was the same story I was thinking of.
The excellent description, lucid language, and descriptions of events make this a wonderful read. I would recommend this book to thriller lovers, especially those who enjoy reading murder mysteries.
The narrative revolves around 7 spine-chilling murders that were not only plotted by women but also executed by them flawlessly that Indian crime history could never be thought of.
The women did not choose this path on their own, they were dragged and coerced into these circumstances by the people around them. The narrative effectively conveys the morals that appearances may be deceiving and that one should never trust anyone blindly.
The stories do provide enough thrills, yet they seemed left out in certain instances. After the appetizers, the author abruptly jumped to desserts without fully concentrating on the main course. The whodunnit elements were revealed very early without much depth. The plot demanded a lot more anticipation.
Furthermore, the reasons behind the atrocities were a little too over-the-top justifications which I felt didn't fit well in the fictionalized plot.
Books based on true events seem to have an extra reader-grabbing facet especially when it comes to crime-thriller and horror genres. Plus this book also provides us with seven female killers, which is very uncommon in both real life and literature. The unique concept of the plot successfully grabs the attention of the readers from the very beginning.
To conclude, the narrative is a fast-paced short read and presented in lucid language. The storyline may get predictable at times, but the author genuinely deserves credit for his meticulous research and his accounting of these murder mysteries. Just grab this anthology of 7 blood-curdling tales without any second thought. Definitely a recommendable one!
