Be careful that it has cuss words and feelings on a large scale so check with your parents and then go for it..!!
Overall a good book, great story, good work by author.!
But even in my wildest dreams, I never dreamt I would be sitting in New York city reading about a ragi mudde eating Gowda detective from Bangalore !!!
Can you imagine the kick I got in Manhattan, reading about Bore Gowda kicking ass in Bengaluru!
As a Gowda from Bangalore, I am hugely biased I know ...I loved this book ! I had such a blast reading about Bangalore, the foods, the people, the places...I cannot describe how thrilled I felt to see a Bangalore based crime fiction being read and sold in the international markets. Through this book, the world will come to know about ragi mudde, nippattu and soppina saaru; they will discover honest cops do exist in India.
I hope Nair gives us more of Bore Gowda thrillers soon!
Thanks a ton Nair for making my day!
Read a thriller after a long time. I think I have a crush on Inspector Borei Gowda.
It became more interesting as I live in Bangalore. I have visited most of the places mentioned in the book. So it was easy visualising the scenes. Yet the darkness did not completely spook me out. It was in the correct dose that I liked. And even though it is a thriller, you can find the brilliance of Anita Nair shine through, especially in language and structure.
