This book is not suitable for all. It's not a conventional business book. It's about personal branding. The advice is repetitive. Too many 'success stories' are mentioned, which can become overwhelming. Stories are more than the actual advice. It seemed boring and I didn't learn anything new. It is suitable for those who wish to market their products or websites.
Long version -
First things first, this book is not for everyone. The advice given does not apply to all fields. It is selective.
This book is for only social media people or those who wanna improve their social media game. It tells you how use the advice to leverage your business. The main idea in this book was 'Personal Branding', and how you can use social media to grow your business.
The first part of the book, explains what it takes to create great content on social media. It talks about, how to bring traffic to your website or social media accounts. I have to say I was fed up with too many "Crush It" stories. It did become cumbersome after a while. The actual content of each chapter is only about 40%, the rest is about stories of other people. Maybe you could learn something from them, but according to me they were mostly unnecessary.
In the 2nd part he(GARY) talks about different social media platforms. Hell, every platform has a chapter for itself. It includes all the major platforms like Instagram, FB, YouTube, Podcasts. Well it didn't have anything about 'LinkedIn', which was what I was looking for, because LinkedIn is a lot better for people like accountants, lawyers; the conventional field. Most of the advice given is not important, it's just generic and most chapters are only filled with success stories.
This book is suited for those who wish to establish a name for themselves on social media, and ways to use that name to increase ways to your business or blogs. I think maybe conventional fields can use the tips, but we still have a lot of time for that. Me, being an accountant, find it possible to use some of the tips but not all.
In conclusion. this book can prove to be a deal breaker for those with a conventional mindset. This book is only for 'social media junkies', nothing related to business at all, this book can even be a nightmare for introverts. And the advice also seemed to be repeated in all the chapters.
Gary Talks a lot about making a personal brand in this book and constantly shows why it's important.
The book is filled with various people's perspective and their stories of how they built their businesses using the power of social media. Gary has written this book in the simple straight forward language. He often tells its readers about harsh realities and keeps it real.
This book talks about various platforms and how to succeed in them. Platforms such as Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, Voice-first, podcasts, twitter, Tik-Tok, etc. Each platform which he talks about, he mentions one story of a person who succeeded on that platform. This book contains many interviews.
only CON that I can say is that there is a lot of mention of his first book Crush It! and often times he references it. For a reader who has not read his previous book, it's somewhat annoying to constantly being reminded of the first book that he wrote!
Amazon Delivery was great and the packaging was also good. Amazon did a good job on their part.
Overall: Great Book, you'll definitely learn a major deal from this.

This contains really good things - my favourite being how patience and hard work had no substitute for the many examples of entrepreneurs he highlights in the book.
I bought the kindle version of the book (an equivalent of $3.06) and I honestly think it was worth the price.
It taught me a lot and at the same time, it wasn't the kind of motivational book that said anything was possible as long as you believed, but anything was definitely possible if you had the right mix of hard work, patience, passion and talent.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who's found what they want to do and want to know more about how to go about their own journey🤜🏾

Not sure why so many people criticise his work. He is inspiring! He calls you to action!
His advices are simple. His words speak loud.
I appreciate his wil in helping. Different from other books in entrepreneurship, he is not selling any course or ebook. He is giving a lot that will make a huge difference in everybody’s lives. Well done Gary!
