5.0 out of 5 stars Wonnnderful Purchase... 😁😁😁
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 11 April 2019
Okay First of All, I was very Sceptical to buy this variant of vs550 with grey label as I thought this was some kind of low quality variant because the other one with colorful logo has way more buyers and reviews and it also looks better.. I really needed a good PSU as my old stock PSU was shutting down due to overload whenever I tried playing Infinite Warfare which is a resource intensive game.. Buying a vs450 also seemed a waste of money under the circumstances and I won't be needing the power of a vs650..

After spending quality time with different forums, I understood that this one with grey label is an improved 2018 version of the vs550.. Its smaller than the other one and it supports from 100v to 240v.. It also boasts 7 SATA Connectors and 2 Molex while the old variant has 4 sata and 4 molex.. This one provides 44 Amps through the 12V rail while the old one could only supply 42 Amps.. Forums also mention the use of improved and superior quality capacitors and heatsink in this 2018 variant.. I was monitoring the price every day and I ordered it from Gatiya Retail LLP when the price suddenly lowered to Rs 3,430 one lucky Minute.. I received the product a day earlier than scheduled in mint condition thanks to genius packing by seller and direct Amazon delivery..

It took me around 2 hours to replace my old 350W stock PSU with this one as I did a little bit cleaning up inside the case too.. The first turning on was slightly nerve wracking.. But when I saw the CPU lights and my Circle Fans Powering up bright, I knew I made an awesome purchase.. It started up real good.. The first thing I noticed was the silence.. So damn silent that I have to listen carefully to even hear a buzz.. Quickly fired up infinite warfare and after a 10 minute session i checked on the PSU.. It was a little warm from the intensive load but the thing was it was still silent, and the smell of fresh PSU working was like the smell of a new book😂😂😂...

I recommend everyone out there who's looking for a new PSU to close your eyes and buy it.. You'll never regret this.. You're getting yourself a quality product from a trusted Brand and You're also future proofing yourself to an extent..

Completely Satisfied.. (My Unboxing Video Included)

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost everything is perfect except the POWER CORD..!!
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 13 August 2019
You can trust Corsair SMPS on any day with your closed eyes. It is always recommended that go for better brand SMPS rather than cheaper SMPS since cheaper SMPS are made of bad electronics components like Capacitors and Mosfets in their circuit board which can get dead very quickly. Corsair VS550 is a 550 watt SMPS which is perfect for an average to good PC configuration having 3 or more HDDs/SSDs, a decent Graphic Card and other peripherals connected to the motherboard. Its an ATX SMPS which supports any ATX motherboards which need 24 pin power supply.

Everything is absolutely fine since I know how corsair is a better brand since I am in PC Hardware field for over 12 years now. But the only issue is this SMPS comes with a Power Cord which got 3 pins with Non-Indian Standard Power Plug. It comes with thinner pin which runs in different countries but in India, we see rounded pins in Power Plugs. I don't know why this item is being shipped to India but with a non-supported Power Cord which doesn't fit in any Indian Plug Socket. At least they could have provided an adapter type thing by which it could be fit on an Indian Power Socket. Very very disappointed with this major drawback from a brand like Corsair.

You need to visit any local Electrical Shop and look for a "multiplug" which support all universal plugs. Thus way you can plug in the power cord into your Indian Wall Socket.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fine, but with some caveats
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 30 September 2020
The product, CX450 is fine for medium usage. It has a good build quality and doesn't feel cheap, neither it is because it is sold at almost double the price of VS450. All cables are black sleeved. Although the main problem with my product is the non-indian type plug. It has 4 Molex (1 wire), 4 SATA (2+2), 1 6+2 pin PCI and the other two as usual.
Be ready to get electric shocks if you do not have proper grounding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Corsair CX450 is awesome.
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 9 February 2021
After a lot of research I bought this PSU, initially I was going to buy Corsair CV500 or CV550. I found that the CV series is just the renamed VS series with minor improvements and they use old technology (group regulated) whereas CX series uses a modern DC-DC architecture. The quality of cables are just awesome, no more tomato-ketchup cables. Overal build quality is far better than competitors in this price, also the fan is super silent. It can even power GTX 1660 Super, so this PSU was totally worth for me.
