This thriller starts with the kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl, Sakshi, from East Delhi but with the lack of interest shown by the police and the authorities to find the missing girl, a journalist soon comes forward, who, with the help of detective Abhay as her eyes and legs, goes in the maze of clues diving deep into the history of crimes to solve the mystery of missing children.
This captivating and intriguing debut by Nikhil Pradhan is a story about a series of devious stratagems that extend far beyond the wildest imaginations of the readers.
While reading the book, I was especially fond of the way the narration has been done. The author has used whatsapp messages, voicemails, police reports, leaked emails, and interviews to bring out the uncertainty and the solution of this conundrum.
Nikhil Pradhan in his this debut novel has researched all the ins and outs accurately and I would like to praise him for thinking of such a smashing dynamite of a plot.
With anticipation, excitement, perplexity, dilemma and apprehension all crammed into one, this edgy plot doesn't fail to keep the pages turning.
With right amount of tension built all along, it seems like that our Stephen-king-loving author has found his stride in the genre.
Thankyou Harper Collins for the review copy of such an amazing book!

The book is a dark glory that will make you want to just keep on reading it and when it ends, it will take a piece of your mind and heart forever.
Something unique and the best Sci-Fi read till now.
"Cold truth' did proper justice to my need.
As fast as suspense is concerned, this book binded me from very first page because of unique writing style of the author,or rather would like to specify that writing style of the novel is in an epistolary format .
A missing 10years girl Sakshi Prakash from East Delhi, was carried the whole plot to Russia, to Antarctica ... eventually dirty truth was revealed by trusted source.
conveying the whole information through chats, newspaper articles, offical documents...so many different elements have made this book an intriguing plot.
Journal narration style which phase in and out have this story worthwhile.one would find cross-referencing which shared international conspiracy, negligence of government or different agencies , possibilities of the unknown, corruption in the name of science.
Author cleverly has been penned down these dirty but cold truths with perfection in an unusual way.
Characters of journalist and his associate who helps him in resolving his case are well sketched.
This book will give you a goosebumps for sure, you'll be forced to forget that this book has been written by a debutant.i'll recommend it to everyone who wants to read dark suspense.
