Product description

Review

‘Ramesh’s book is timely and important…Communicating science, and encouraging us to care about somewhat distant problems is no simple task, and Ramesh does an impressive job of both.’ – Scroll

‘The Climate Solution takes on a difficult task and delivers well. It describes the climate change challenge and then concentrates specifically on India and offers a range of practical solutions.’ – The Hindu

‘The Climate Solution’s largely conversational style and the author’s [ability to] deftly connect climate challenges to her own lived experiences and those of others makes it a ready reckoner on climate change and India.’ – Financial Express

‘Mridula’s book is thought-provoking…it impels the reader to think about what he/she can do to help the cause.’ – The Hindu Business Line

‘The book offers some great stories and glimpses into the past for lessons we need today.’ – Millenium Post

‘The book does justice in highlighting the topic of environment and climate change by subtly connecting them with certain region-specific and select widespread social practices.’ – Business Standard

‘The Climate Solution elucidates technology-driven, pragmatic initiatives to resolve the climate problem with gradual changes in the direction of mitigating the impact of the environmental crisis.’ – Issue Wire

‘Mridula Ramesh's The Climate Solution presents a plethora of information, facts, figures and data on climate change in the context of India and provides a roadmap for the way forward.’ – The New Indian Express

‘Mridula takes the reader through the entire gamut of how [climate change] is already affecting us, and how it can get worse. But, very practically, and sensibly, the author wraps up the book with a checklist of actions that individuals, institutions and the government needs to take in order to build our resilience to climate change.’ – The Week
