The author includes information on manufactured items, but no links, addresses or contact info to be able to find them. There's no resource or reference list.
My biggest complaint is that there are very few photos of finished items, so it's hard to see exactly what the finished product is like. Some samples photos are not clear, and so of little use. A particular example is Chapter 7 (Enclosed Dichroic Cabochon). There's not a single photo of a completed item. There are small photos of the process, but it's hard to figure out exactly what is being done. These photos are not numbered with links in the text -- so the written info and photos are a challenge to match up.
One of the reasons I bought this book was to get recipes for homemade "class clay." In chapter 4, there are potential binders but no instructions on how to use them or the ratios of different materials. So why is the additional of flux recommended??
My suggestion: Save your money. Skip this book; instead, search the web for "glass clay tutorials!" I found free tutorials with much better pictures, examples and descriptions.
