About the Author
Shivshankar Menon served as national security adviser to the Prime Minister of India from 2010–14 and as India’s foreign secretary from 2006–09. A career diplomat, he has served as India’s envoy to Israel (1995–97), Sri Lanka (1997–2000), China (2000–03) and Pakistan (2003–06). He was a member of India’s Atomic Energy Commission from 2008–14. In 2010, Menon was chosen by Foreign Policy magazine as one of the world’s top 100 global thinkers.

From the machinations behind the 123 nuclear deal to the India's No first use policy of Nuclear deterrence , "Choices" is an insightful read with ideas and concepts straight from the horses mouth.
The major strategic and diplomatic initiatives with Pakistan ,China ,SriLanka and USA have been laid out in wonderful detail along with some inside stories that makes it a cracker of a book
However since they are his reminiscences, they do fail to highlight the alternatives that were or could have been there.
I read about the book in business Standards and then randomly amazoned it and voila I have it delivered before time.
I am currently at a pace of 75 pages per day. I finished this giant within 3 days. Now is the time for some more research :)
