This is the 2nd book it this series, and like the first it has a strong BDSM theme to the sexual relationship. I’m not really a fan of BDSM, but overall, there also just seems to be too much emphasis on the sexuality of the relationship. The BDSM component of the relationship seems to defined as mainstream, and commonplace, insinuating any other type of sexual relationship is unsatisfactory and lacking. Although I enjoy depictions of intimate, passionate sensuality, I don’t think it has to have a BDSM theme to make it sexy. In fact, the sensuality seems more focused on “sexual play” than the passion and sharing of an intimate bond, as an extension of an intense romantic connection. So, if you’re not fully on board with the BDSM lifestyle, you probably won’t love this series.

As far as the author, I usually really enjoy the romantic suspense novels this author writes for both the development of the romance and the suspense plots. However, if all her future romances have a strong BDSM theme, I will shy away from future books. As I said, I love a steamy romance with an alpha male, but I don’t need or want full on dominance and submission sexual play-it just becomes tawdry, fake & even demeaning for me, but again if you like a BDSM, you’ll probably love this book and series.

This was a great addition to this series. There wasn’t as much suspense as the first book and Gray was a bit of an anti-hero, but that worked well for Ann since she didn’t need a knight in shining armor.

Ann and Gray were both lonely and figuring out what came next in their lives. Gray was struggling with his years undercover and the things he’d had to do to stay alive. Ann was struggling with running her ranch alone after her father passed away.

Gray and Ann were both attracted to each other and the more time they spent together, the more that attraction grew. But Gray struggled with thinking he was good enough for the tough rancher. I loved that Ann set him straight when he tried to push her away. She was not the type of woman to let a man make decisions for her and he unintentionally did that when he decided he wasn’t good enough.

Gray and Ann helped each other overcome their grief and misconceptions of what they should have in life. They came together in an unconventional way, but their chemistry was hot and their lust grew quickly into something much more.

I could not put this book down. This is book two in the In Clear Sight series. It is Grayson and Anne’s journey and I just could not put it down I was so invested in their story. I loved Anne she was such a strong woman and independent she was a true badass. Then we get Grayson alpha male, possessive,and incredibly protective. They were perfect for one another. I just couldn’t have read this book fast enough. It’s a great book and one I would highly recommend.

Kennedy L Mitchell knows how to write the feels. This series is so different with the feel of the emotions, suspense and romance. Her reads always keep me wanting more and Cherished by the Agent was no different, Grayson a US Marshall and Anne owner of a ranch were electric, passionate, and there communication was almost as if they have known each other a long time. I loved this story.
