5.0 out of 5 stars A light brew tea, an excellent antioxidant.
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 30 December 2019
Am a regular drinker of Green Tea and Green Coffee and this time I bought this Chengamari Green Tea for Rs. 349.
The green tea came in a zip lock pouch and air tight.

Being a green tea the tea leaves are not oxidized. Though I wasn't able to see dark green, the tea seems to be naturally oxidized to a bit which happens in storage. Upon uncurling the leaves and while boiling I was able to see the green tea is very good.

I added small quantity of green tea leaves and boiled the water at 80 degrees C for around 5 minutes. The leaves started uncurling themselves in boiling water and started releasing the color and flavor.

The flavour is very light and so was the taste and there was no bitter taste. It was refreshing to drink. I drink this tea as a light brew without any sugar or honey added everyday in the morning.

This green tea is on par with Darjeeling variety of Oolong tea and this tea seems to be more budget friendly in my perspective when comparing to various other green and oolong tea that I have bought before .

I drink green tea as a part of my diet to achieve a goal of reducing weight and being fit and health. Being an excellent antioxidant and increases metabolism, it is certainly helping me achieving my goal faster, along with a healthy diet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tastes like Hot water with a hint of green tea.
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 19 August 2020
Dry Leaf appearance is dark greenish brown, looks like old green tea, but smells very fresh.
After brewing you get bright yellowish green colour that more like hot water with a little hint of green tea. It is not handpicked tea as mentioned in title because you can see a lot of plant stem bits with leaves, handpicked teas do not have these bits.
I really had high hopes as I was buying directly from a tea garden, but it turned disappointing.
However, it's a good tea for those who don't like bitter taste of Green Tea.
It is easy tea for beginners.
