I have a decent amount of storage on both my iPhone and iPad, but sometimes the process of moving files through iTunes or iCloud is just a pain. I downloaded some songs and videos from my computer to the iMemStick using the USB connection (it's USB 2.0), unplugged it from the computer, and plugged it into my iPhone. I read in the instructions that I needed to install an app from the App Store to use it on the iOS devices, which I had already done, and upon plugging the drive into my iPhone, it directed me to the app, which was able to give me a glimpse into the phone's files as well as what was on the drive. Moving files from the iMemStick to the phone and vice versa was easy and the transfer rate was faster than trying to do it with iCloud. I then put some of the files on the iMemStick onto my iPad with no problems.
The product is made out of aluminum and seems to have a very solid build quality. The specs that came along with it said it had an internal battery, which is important as a flash drive can up and die if it loses power. This item is sealed, so getting into it to change a battery would be difficult, but it seems that ZeroLemon has that covered. There are hard plastic caps over the USB and lightning connectors to protect them, and the stick comes in a nice box with a swing off cover, so losing the cover is unlikely, even for a klutz like me.
One slight drawback is that the lightning connector wouldn't go directly into my iPhone because I have a very sturdy case on it. Just taking one corner off the phone to better expose the outlet fixed the problem. I have a more standard cover on my iPad, so there was no problem mating the iMemStick with that unit at all.
I can see a ton of uses for this, whether it's putting things now on the iPhone like photos onto computers (like my wife's) that don't have iCloud installed as well as taking things fro almost any computer and putting them on iOS devices. I've used USB flash drives forever, but never could find one that worked with the micro USB ports on Android. Creating this product for iOS devices was nothing less than brilliant and it does everything it said it would along with packing a large amount of storage.
This is a well designed, well working product and I have no doubt that it will make my working with my iOS devices easier.
