National-level volleyball player Arunima Sinha had a promising future ahead of her. Then one day she was shoved from a moving train by thieves as she attempted to fight them off. The horrific accident cost the twenty-four-year-old her left leg, but it never deterred her. A year later, she had retrained as a mountaineer and become the first female amputee to reach Mount Everest. This is her unforgettable story of hope, courage and resilience.

Story of outmost bravery and craziness to prove others
Reviewed in India on 26 June 2022
Being a pahadi myself always wanted to summit the mighty Mt Everest as every other mountaineer wants to and this book gave me an imaginary experience of the summit, harsh weather, thrilling adventure, life and death situations one could have and last respect for the Sherpa community and Mt Everest. The story is real story based on arunima Sinha the iron lady who was left with her one leg chopped by the train and still managed to survive and prove her worth instead of various challenges and difficulties. A must read book to all fellow mountaineers those ever imagined or wanted to summit Mt Everest.

Very well written by balancing the details and the compactness. It is rare that you go through a tragedy and come out of it and set a world record and the detailed account on this book will show anyone how to move forward despite the barriers that might come in your way

It's a story about a small town girl with dreams and how her life turns upside down due to an unfortunate incident but instead of giving up on life which any normal person might have done if in her shoes, she decided to accepts the reality and live a happy life. She started to dream again but this time she dared to make her dreams come true. It's about her journey to Everest which definitely was not easy but she made it to the top with her determination and resilience.
It is a lucid read which will surely going to inspire you to have that Never Give Up attitude in your life.
