I bought this game because it was made by Big Ant Studios who have made perhaps the best cricket games ever such as Donald Bradman Cricket, Cricket 19, Ashes Cricket and so on but despite knowing the fact that this was an arcade style game based around BBL or the Australian equivalent of IPL I was disappointed by the lack of options and depth of gameplay. Some absolute basics are missing here including the toss of the coin, replays, camera angles and so on. This is only 20% of the other Cricket games by Big Ant and that’s disappointing.
It’s a decent game if you are trying to initiate kids into the game with just the basics and a stylised presentation but beyond that there’s little to hold the interest of a cricket fan looking for a game with depth in gameplay or options in terms of career mode, tournaments, game types and so on. Some very basic features like action replays, and coin toss are missing so you can imagine how bare bones this is. The only saving grace was the price at which I bought which was insanely lower than the PS Store price.
