Balancing is the Work: Live a Serene Life in the Extreme World Kindle Edition
This is a book covering several aspects of life that need balancing to live a peaceful and serene life. Usually, we know about only work-life balance, but there are several issues that need our attention. This book eloquently brings those issues for the readers. This is a collection of brief 100 essays in easy-to-understand simple language. This is a good read for young students to know the art early in life and for the seniors, the book offers handy tools to get a grip on their life. Sunil Gandhi’s book “Balance is the Work” gives glimpse of all the related aspects at length and brings the reader pleasure as well as major inputs to lead a good life. In fact, I feel fortunate to have a chance to read this book. Mittal Patel -Founder and Managing Trustee of Vicharta Samuday Samarthan Manch. -A recipient of Nari Shakti Award 2018 I congratulate the author for a book with 100 gems which will help all ages. The young can learn for the life ahead.......while the more matured can retrospect and repair. माध्यस्थ भाव (To balance one's emotions so as to move towards neutral middle equilibrium position) is very important for good mental health and emotional well-being. Imbalanced emotions (with or without resultant imbalanced reactions) play an important role in the genesis of emotional disorders. The author has brilliantly said that all our life is like a balance sheet in which everything is out of balance. I would like to add to this, that in spite of us being totally aware of how much imbalances we have in our balance sheet, we go to all false means to show that it is balanced instead of striving for real balance. Dr Jinesh Shah Consultant Adult and Child Psychiatrist. I appreciate the author for making a very exhaustive list of life skills which are very important. All chapters are of 2-3 pages so one can read in small breaks also. This book is helpful to people of all ages but more useful to youngsters. Dr. Ajit Salvi, Executive Engineer, BMC You can pretend to be serious, but you can’t pretend to be witty! – Sacha Guitry, stage actor and writer. And yes, am picking this up from the book itself. And well, after reading this, what can I say…am a believer. Balance in life is the key – key to your sanity and well-being, key to humour and happiness, key to being you. And at the same time, it is not black and white, but comes with its own shades of grey! That’s what this book reflects on with the most interesting examples and reference points. It funny and entertaining, yet on-point serious. The book almost holds a mirror for you to understand and acknowledge …whether that is you, life, circumstances or your outlook in general. It is an eye-opener and refreshingly light-hearted. Talk about calling things out, the book definitely does that. It’s a total page-turner – whatever you do, don’t miss it!
