is for all those book lovers who want to have a good laugh .. laugh at
-.the way things are in USA for desi people
- the ways of student life at prominent IITs/NITs back home in India, and finally
-the way the politics are run,, again back home, in India..
The author gives a glimpse of NRIs life in USA and makes good fun of all the things they do , in office and at cultural events and in society in general and in everyday dealings. Most of it is true reflection of the facts there in USA infarct and makes really good read with great humor blended into the situations quite naturally.Though brief, this portion of the book is really fun ridden.
Then, the author takes the reader through the disgruntling life of students in Engg colleges, ragging in 1st year and social organization in college life and so on.Again this is more factual and many engineers would have experienced similar things. So it is more like a deja vu feeling to read it in a book. written by one passing out of such colleges, the author himself.
The final part deals with current political scenario in India and USA , Modi in India and Obama in USA, and the parallels, mostly dealing with Swachh Bharat and other slogans of the current Indian politics like make in India and NRI participation in Indian development etc.I find this last part slightly boring though.
Overall, this book makes an interesting fun filled ride offering insights into the life of NRIs, Student life in colleges in India and some politics.
well, I received copy of this book for review purpose from the author. Thanks for reading my review. hope it helps.
There is satire, there is friendship, highs, and lows of an Engineering student in India, a travelogue and much more to cover.
If you're looking for something new and different from the common stories, go for it. You'll not regret reading this book!!!
The story revolves around the life of Kiriti. The story is unpredictable and that would glue the readers to read this novel. The USP of this book is it's different writing pattern and this would surely take you back to your old school and college days.
The cover of the book is amazing and title is also apt with the hashtag #Acchedin for comedy. The story is narrated in the lucid manner. The author has penned down the phases very nicely as well as if we talk about the editing then that is also nice. Though the book will look thick and long but it is worth reading these 325 pages.
I would truly recommend this book to all those who truly want to try something better than their regular "daalchawal"then go and grab your copies fast.
Words usage is fabulous. At times I felt I was confused but it makes sense slowly and steadily.
It is different and amazing. Don't forget to read this book. You don't want to miss on ironies , jokes nd poems inbetween the story. It flows but you need to actually be engrossed in the story and become a part of it. GO CLOWN. GO CRAZY.
Loved the book... The story revolves around Kiriti and his family and the circumstances he faces in his day to day life and how he overcomes all these hurdles. It also shows the constant struggle between Kiriti and his inner clown and how he overcomes the clown within himself and finally becomes a successful person. The journey of Kiriti starting from a small village of Tandra Pradesh to becoming a Minister is commendable.
The author has discussed some of the crucial problems in India e.g. caste discrimination, unemployment, ragging problems and corruption. Will surely recommend this book to my friends...
i was provided this book for review purposes.

The comedy is just on spot and non stop fun with lot of sarcasm you just can't read it without lauging.
The author has done a very good job though it took me a month to fully read but it was worth it.
