5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful set of 2 Trilingual books written by most reverred poet through the eyes of Gulzar
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 6 August 2018
This is a set of 2 books that shall adorn your bookshelf like none before. I loved the books as I have been yearning to know Tagore through mediums other than English and as I cannot read Bengali, there are not many good options left. Having looked through multiple translations in Hindi & English, and none seeming to be the ONE - I have been inching towards starting to learn Bengali script itself. But this set of books has quenched the thirst for me. I have been a fan of Gulzar and he has put in years worth of effort in translating the memorable poems of Tagore into Hindi and English. The awesome part is that he has presented the poems in Bangla, Hindi as well as English so that reader gets to see dimensions of the poems through the lens of different languages. It is beautiful to read Tagore through the eyes of Gulzar - you actually get to read & know two god-gifted poets in one book !! This is a book not to be missed.
