About the Author

Chetankumar G. Shetty has nearly a decade of experience in developing and being an architect for Augmented Reality (AR) projects for industries and academia. He is currently working as Senior Lead, Innovation – PL Lab with Bajaj Finance Limited. Previously, he worked as Technical Director with IGS India. As part of his role, he headed the technology development team which has developed AR/VR and AI/ML solutions across different verticals. He also served as Visiting Researcher (focusing on AR/MR) in CARE Lab, NAIST, Japan. He was the founder and director of ExperInn Research, a technology research initiative that was acquired by the UK based R&D Company in 2013. He also served as the chief and coordinator of the Indian chapter of Space Renaissance International (SRI), Italy. He has also developed an app which will help to understand the concepts of AR in an efficient manner. The contents of the app will provide latest examples of Augmented Reality. A recipient of several awards, he was awarded and felicitated by Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam (Former President of India) at IIM, Ahmedabad, for innovation promotion (Conferred by NIF India). He was also conferred with a gold medal award by IIEM, New Delhi.
