Exceptionally bad product quality and after sales service

The first laptop that got delivered had a broken screen and was replaced with another laptop on 28-Aug. I used the new laptop for less than 2 weeks when it stopped working on 14-Sep. The ASUS toll-free and warranty service centers had to be called approximately 15-20 times before a service engineer was sent. The service engineer verified that there is no hardware damage to the laptop, Windows will need to be re-installed. Today, on 23-Sep, I got a call from the Service Center that the SSD or the Motherboard will need to replaced (they still need to troubleshoot if one or both need replacement) because there is a defect in one or both of these parts.
Motherboard and SSD are significant elements of a computer--while they have a 7-day replace policy, my submission is that if a physical defect is found in the machine in less than 2 weeks of purchase, why should a consumer be using a clearly defective piece. Have escalated to their toll-free number, but given the quality and professionalism and knowledge of their call-center staff, not sure if I am going to get a resolution.
So, please consider this case if you want to buy an ASUS laptop/product.
