I will read that if you can find something better than this book at present and I am sure you will fail because Mark's skills as a writer have been best come out in his novel and overall a second book. American Maharajah is Ravi who accidentally comes to India and finds himself being called a son of a king from Rajasthan. He also starts liking a girl named Aishani who finds him Amar, the deceased son of the Maharajah. How could this become such a messed case of mistaken identity? How did Amar die? How can Ravi be the son of an Indian Maharajah from Rajasthan while he was in the USA with his parents? Read the novel and you will understand why people are loving it! Must read!

For me, American Maharajah is a complete fiction! Mark has displayed his sharpness in handling the plot which could be complicated otherwise. Ravi's dilemma and Aishani's maturity & faith along with Suraj Pershad's, the Maharajah's confidence in Karma and reincarnation are the important points which connect the dots in the novel. A very enjoyable read which will surely be liked by the readers, especially from India. The detailed look into the life of a ruined palace and the hope which still holds the pillars... the Rajasthan deserts and an Indo-American young man's almost spiritual exploration in India... all this makes American Maharajah a must read novel. A very good beginning with a rather better ending. DON'T miss it!

I have enjoyed the novel throughout and especially the ending has captured my attention. You can see it in the novel that Mark has tried to be inclusive and he has given a space to the beliefs of the protagonist... aside from the critical aspects, the novel is written in a very simple and reader-friendly language and it deserves the applaud!
