I wanted the 6 step ladder but it was not available for purchase at my location. So I went along to purchase this 5 step ladder from Solimo. Here's what I think after a month of use.
Build quality is as expected. It is very light weight, great for most household requirements like cleaning the ceilings, changing light bulbs, etc.
The plastic footings are decent and don't slip while the ladder is fully extended. I would even go to say that it is safe for kids under supervision.
Few things that I dislike are that the screws holding each step, the rod under the top platform are low carbon steel. Any kind of moisture contact will start to rust them. I don't understand why brands don't use aluminum screws like other countries.
While climbing up the ladder it makes a lot of squeaky noises.
The max weight mentioned is 150 kg, but I would suggest only about 90-95 kg people climb it. I'm 56 kgs and it scares me when it makes noises while climbing.
For the price of Rs 2399 (with coupon and lightning deal) it is a reasonably priced ladder. Bathla makes much sturdier ones but they're expensive compared to this. The 6 step ladder if available for my location would have been a better choice for the size advantage.
Do remember, local hardware stores sell these kinds at Rs 2000-2300 and much sturdier 6 ft ladders at 3700+. So better to check locally for comparison.
Hope this review is helpful.
