I took a course by one of the authors, and even he admitted that the textbook needed more proofreading.
Some of the equations are slightly wrong, making this textbook very unreliable source. You simply have to cross check the equations because some (though not many) are wrong. Harder than what it really has to be too. The previous edition I would say is far better.
