About the Author
Vishnubhat Godse (1827–1906), commonly known as Godse Bhatji, was a priest. A writer purely by chance, this first Indian-language account of the Uprising is his sole literary work.

Though it does give an account of the way of life of those days it definitely isn't what I had expected it to be - a first-hand account of what happened in those days of rebellion and the tameness with which it all ended.
