Though several time Anatoli feel pity for his failure to rescue Scott Fischer but it's somhow clear that he had done his limit to rescue other clients & his expedition leader but only find failure on the later case.
He portrayed himself from the very beginning as a high altitude consultant or a rescue expert and I think this qualities always sets him apart from other climbers. He also states that he feel relaxed and at home whenever he travel into himalaya. Climbing was his life and he said good bye to his life doing his favourite job; I feel he is lucky in that matter of that case.If you want to know real Anatoli this book is perfect.
Long live Anatoli
