Below was my previous review from just a few days ago...but after only about 2 hours of playing fortnite, this machine went down the tubes. All kinds of fatal exception errors and I even tried to do a reset and it couldn't complete it. Now it won't even boot up. I'm thinking that either the drive has bad sectors or the memory module might be bad. Either way, such a disappointment. So I packed it up and sent it back...
I'm not sure if my expectations are too high however, my daughter has the HP Omen and out of the box the thing crushed graphics and games. This laptop gave me some trouble with memory management errors and such. I had to download some updated drivers to get this thing working as it should. Maybe not the fault of the laptop but I didn't have to do it with the HP and with this Asus I had to. I was thinking to myself that if I didn't have the savvy and knowledge to do this I would be up the creek without a paddle. The tech support really stinks and after a while me of trying to use the tech support or lack there of through "MyASUS" I decided to take matters into my own hands and do some google research to figure out my problem and find a solution. I'm giving the laptop 4 stars because it does seem to be well made and has some nice options like the nvidia 3050ti graphics card and the 32GB of ram. The display is really nice but honestly, the HP Omen with 16gb of RAM runs Fornite just as well if not better. If the Omen had a 17" screen, I would probably buy that laptop over this one, However with the 17" screen and the other options this laptop for the price seems hard to beat even with the memory management error issue. An updated Nvidia driver did solve the issue, but the whole ordeal was a little inconvenient.
