I bought for programming and daily work not for gaming it doesn't has graphics unit inside the processor so you have to buy graphics card to load the bios AMD is awesome don't go for Intel Pentium it's overpriced
You can get better performance in AMD than in Intel
This processor gives the performance at intels i5 processor level
Although for gaming u have to go for advanced version of AMD eg:AMD ryzen 5 or 7
Value for money:
But if you want to install custom graphics then go with this processor it'll be value for money
It's not necessary to read reviews of AMD processor because they're awesome
Although I want to add that amazon's services are now starting to get pathetic each day, I recieved my processor in a very small box which was very unsecure for such a delicate thing and it had 2 huge dents on its sides, it wqs very saddening to see.
Get a graphic card, ssd and you're all set to go. If you're into impressing friends and such, better invest in looks like rgb fans, well designed cabinets and stuffs. No one will come and go through all your computer infos to check how costly your processor is. Unless you earm a living by creating contents that demands high processor, dont waster your money on getting 20k cost processor, buy this and dontae the rest to poor people. Enuf said

Whilst my old i7 2600K is an amazing chip - and still runs everything I can throw at it, it's age means that newer technologies aren't available to me - like M.2 sticks, or even just DDR4 speeds. Even the BIOS on the motherboard looked dated to hell now - so much, you can't even control the fans properly.
So I purchased the Ryzen 1200 (along with a new mobo and RAM) as a bit of a 'sidegrade' - I spent less than £300 in total. The Ryzen chip compares to a similar speed as the 2600K - but with some major advantages. The first is it is only 65W. On idle, it sits at around 30 degrees with only 1 fan + the CPU fan on (and on low at that). My machine is silent - something what I usually only had with my Apple Mac. Even under load, I don't have to turn the fans up to full whack. I'm really impressed with this feature alone.
So, I'm now in a position where I have a faster system than I had previously, that runs more economically - and I know that I can easily upgrade it to a higher-end system in the future when funds are available.
AMD really have hit back at the market. A comparable chip by Intel at the moment is the i3 8100 - which for some reason has shot up from £99 a few month ago to nearly £160.. I'm guessing they have a chip shortage at the moment. Ryzen on the other hand give you a quad core chip at £75. Bargain!
At the moment I use an rx 460 4GB, which is a big bottleneck for the CPU, but it will still run games very good with rainbow 6 seige at 120-30 frames per second. But if you were to stay to an radeon GPU, i would say you would need an rs 570- 580. Or if you want a Geforce card I would say the GTX 1060 6GB. These are only the GPU I would recommend at the time of this review.
It's completely fantastic. A 4 core, 4 thread 14nm process CPU for under £50 is just insanity! Not only that, but it's massively upgradeable down the line - no need to have to buy yet another motherboard and new ram, as the 3rd generation of Ryzen uses the same socket!
It also overclocks amazingly. On the included stock cooler, I was able to get a stable 4.1GHz overclock!
It is fantastic, and a great platform to use thanks to the dedication of AMD releasing 3 to 4 generations of processors on the same socket.
I haven't had chance to overclock this yet as it is currently running on a cheap a320m-k board but even then it's paired well with an rx570 and has provided some excellent quality 1080p gaming with 60fps in most games with high to ultra settings.
It's also able to handle playing games and watching videos on YouTube which might seem like a given in 2020 but considering this CPU regularly hovers around £46 it means it's a bargain.
Just be aware that you will need a graphics card for this meaning that the 2200g is a cheaper option but this CPU paired with a cheap graphics card will offer better performance.
Furthurmore, the wraith spire cooler it comes with is one of the best stock coolers out there. It looks nice, and cools very well on factory clock. You might need to upgrade cooler to overclock, however.
I am extremely happy with this CPU, and don't see the need to upgrade for what I use it for.
1. this processor does not support on board graphics and must be used with a separate PCIE video card
2. the supplied heatsink/fan does not fit the AM4 socket mounts and a separate one should be purchased. this is very good replacement have used with Ryzen 7 8C/16T also
