Secondly, the box states the cable is 5 metres long. However, the cable is coiled so the useful length is reduced to approximately 1 metre before the tension in the cable is excessive - ridiculously short and annoyingly the weight is also noticeable on the left side, possibly contributing to the first issue. The solution to the issue involved cutting the cable at about 30 cm and soldering a replacement straight cable.
With these changes the headphones not only sound good, but are more comfortable and I don't need to sit so close to the audio source.
Although I don't consider myself to possess large ears, I now find the depth of the cushion too shallow. Consequently, I have inserted a spacer to increase the depth and make them less uncomfortable when wearing them for long periods.
The headphones, apart from the issues mentioned, do have an air of quality about them, and I would expect them to be relatively robust.
Ultimately, I am disappointed in these headphones. Having considered buying the cheaper mode, for some time, I thought paying extra for the higher spec'd version would be a better option. Not so. I have now got them to a useable state, but out of the box, they were a disappointment. It must be said though, that with a background in electronics, I am probably in a better position than most to make the changes I deemed necessary.

* Sound quality is poor, little bass, little tremble, the whole thing feels flat or muffled like listening through a cloth, especially compared to something like my old Audio Technica M30x (which were much cheaper, and I am using an external amplifier).
* Comfort is fine, they sit lightly on the head, with little pressure on ears, given that they are quite light, it's a reasonably nice feeling. However the design of the top support is bad, instead of a cushion for the top of your head, you get a leather strap that is self-adjustable, but it doesn't go low enough to offer a good support for certain head shapes (like mine). There is no way to lower the strap, so the headphones may end up pulling down on your ears.
* Cable (default that comes with the headphones - it is easily replaceable if you want to send extra cash) is by far the worst part of the whole thing, I am convinced that the person who designed it is either roasting in hell for this monstrosity, or is a demon sent to Earth to in order to subjugate humanity to pain and suffering brought forth by this infernal contraption... Let me explain...
The cable is advertised as 5m long, however it is coiled, like an old-timey phone handle which gives it spring like properties. What happens when you pull a spring? Very little until it pulls whatever it is attached to with extra force. As such the actual usable length of the cord is about 1.5m, if you try to go beyond that it will either pull the headphones off your head or will pull whatever is attached to (if it is lighter). However that is a minor inconvenience next to the the other part...
The upper part of the cord (between headphones and the coiled bit) is made our of the most vile rubberised plastic known to man. I bet that something this horrible had to be specifically invented to be this bad... What it does is it carries sound from everything it touches. You move your head slightly and the cord rubs against your clothing? Check. You move your arm and it douches the cord? Check. You go for a walk and cable just moves with you? Check. A mosquito flies in the next room and the wind from its wings brushes against the cord? Check. Every little thing that physically disturbs the cable creates this feedback scratching sound that is transferred to the headphones, you can hear every little movement which is extremely annoying. My ultra cheap IEM (KZN ZSN Pro X) have solved that problem, but over £100 headphones from the legends like AKG cannot? Rubbish.
So yea, on the plus side, they do look nice and are reasonable comfortable. On the down side... everything else. And then some.
Do not buy K275.

On the product review page it asks you to rate them for noise cancelation, they're passive wired HPs, they don't have noise cancelation.

Positives
+ Build quality feels premium
+ Good balanced/flat sound signature
+ Replaceable cable
+ low resistance and high sensitivity, can easily be powered by a mobile or iPod
Negatives
- The earcups are a bit shallow so my ears touch the drivers which can get uncomfortable after a while. I've swapped them for deeper pads.
- They come with a material storage bag which is a bit narrow/tight to get them in.
