I think the seller needs to change the description title, as egg shapers/molds/forms do not, cannot make an omelette. Adding in the word "omelette" just confuses--and it's obviously a simple translation issue. I think that would be apparent to anyone that's into making omelettes, but after reading another review, I guess not... But, while these egg shapers canNOT make an omelette, they can surely handle a scrambled egg.
These work great--for both eggs and pancake batter. It's fun to put the four rings in a large enough pan, so they can all sit flat. Put the handles to the center. And do the four shapes at once. Just stay in sequence as you pour in your egg or batter, flip and/or remove from the pan.
Some tips to make it a pleasurable experience--so it stays a fun experience: Use a quality, non-stick pan. Use a non-stick spray on the molds/forms. Do NOT try to add scrambled egg or pancake batter any more than half way up the mold. Do NOT try to flip the eggs or batter with the forms still on; remove the forms to a side plate after the egg or batter sets; don't leave them in the pan to absorb precious heat. Use a small spatula to flip and/or remove.
With whole eggs: These shapes will work for large, extra-large, and jumbo eggs. If you use a medium egg (something you only run into if you buy directly from the farm), it may not fill out the entire shape. If you are brave enough to crack the egg right into the mold, you may want to quickly and gently maneuver the yolk into the middle with the tip of a butter knife. If you do it quickly enough, you can move the white around without breaking through to the bottom. (If you break through the bottom of the egg where it is already setting, you run the risk of breaking the yolk.)
