5.0 out of 5 stars Very Addictive 19 September 2012
By Butterbug's Mom - Published on Amazon.com
I have to admit that when I first ordered this magazine I had no idea what it was about. My first thought was it's free for 30 days so I have 30 days to decide whether I really want to subscribe. I was hooked after just taking a glimpse at the table of contents. The first night i was up until past midnight reading it. Disclaimer, I'm not a hacker or even someone who is very technical. For me, jail breaking my iPad was hugely satisfying and liberating and I felt like a superstar. If you read my other reviews you'll see that I often write reviews on crafts and shoes and clothes - typical girl stuff. For a magazine to capture my interest to this degree is unusual. The articles are all very well written and an eye opener to the lay person. I have already placed my order for back issues and can't wait for the next issue in October. Downside is that there are only 4 issues a year.

I have been reading 2600 for years and this digital format is a highly anticipated face lift. The articles cover a wide range in the tech and social engineering fields, well worth the time to read!

2600 is a must-have for hackers, scientists, tinkerers, computer nerds, techno geeks, engineers, and so on -- and it makes a great gift if you know anyone that fits any of these profiles.
