I needed to connect my raspberry pi to a vga monitor. This works, is compact, doesn't need external power and was cheap.

Did exactly what I needed it to...

I have a dual monitor set-up, but only one VGA port in the tower. Plugged this into the HDMI port, plugged the monitor into the other end, and, viola! Easy-peasy. Great price too.

A substandard product. Always overheated (causing monitor to cut out) and then (days after my return window) the HDMI socket snapped out of the plastic mounting. Socket was held in with two tiny "brackets" on only one side.
It works well for me. I don't move it, use the audio, or a DVI adaptor. It's running on a cheap windows 10 laptop

It took a while to get here, but I've had it for about a month and haven't come across any problems. It also came about a month before expected. It's been used on a windows 10, cheap PC with the audio turned off and hardly any travel or transferring of the cable to and from the device so I really can't defend it more than by saying I'm happy with it for now. If something comes up later like it did to someone who posted that it broke after the warranty expired, I'll definitely come back, however, I figured I'd leave a good review since it has so many bad ones in case they deserve to be rewarded for addressing some of their consumer's major concerns. The laptop will be moving back and forth more often once the school year starts. It doesn't seem outrageously easy to break especially considering the price and lack of shipping fee. If it continues to work well, I'll bump it up to 5 stars for that.
