TOP 500 REVIEWERon 31 October 2016
Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Gian is a light hearted novel flavoured with humor and loads of puns. This novel shows us that the author has planned to laugh our hearts out while reading.

Cover- The cover has light coloured scheme and perfectly proves the motive as it has three monkeys in the most wierdest poses which will surely make you laugh. This gives us an idea about the element of humor being a major part.

Title- The title is witty and grabds the attention of the reader. Three Wise Monkeys is an apt title which is a pun intended by the author.

Blurb- The trio – Amar, Akbar, and Anthony – had no clue whatsoever about their goddammit indecisive careers – and – indefinite – struggles.

And that was because they were born with the Peter Pan Syndrome and were simple enough to be tricked by anyone, including their mystifying girlfriends – Meghna, Farah, and Sarah.

And as is the fate of all morons, they were drawn into trouble – deep trouble – of hiding crores of rupees of black money in secret offshore companies.

Will their mistake of turning a blind eye to the philosophy of ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ cost them their careers and put them in prison?

Or

Will Lady Luck change their fortunes forever?

Plot- The plot is gripping as it revolves around the lives of three people Amar, Akbar and Anthony and the way they handle the situations in the most humourous ways. They have serious issues but always tackle them with their witty attitude even if they are in grave trouble.

HUmour as an Element- The author has artisitically added humour in his novel and the use of witty dialogues related to politics and bollywood is appreciable.

Theme- The themes of relationships, love, comedy, corruption can be noticed in this novel.

Characterisation- The author has crafted his characters artistically. All have their own stories be it Amar, Akbar, Anthony or their girlfriends. The way the girlfriends play with them makes the readers pity them sometimes. The situations created are extremely serious but depicted in a light manner.

Style- The style of author is simple, lucid and pithy. The way he has used puns, witty sentences, comedy of manners is mind blowing. The readers end up with hearty laughter in the end.

TOP 1000 REVIEWERon 12 February 2017
The Three Wise Monkey is a fiction by Jeet Gain.
Having a CA(Chartered Accountant) degree to your name isn't something to be proud of unless you are making some cash out of the job, same was the plight with the trio of the book. Amar Alwani, Akbar Khan and Anthony D'Douza three CAs with their hard earned CA degrees are clueless about their careers when they meet the loves of their life Meghna, Farah and Sarah. The desperate search for clients makes them run into Ashwin Kolhatkar, a cunning banker with a never filling greed who tricks them into the dirty business of money laundering without their knowledge.
Wanted by the police, tagged as terrorist by the media, their lives run haywire when they try to find the real culprit and the proof for their innocence. The Three Wise Monkeys is a story of three unwise monkeys and how they help to settle the mess in the lives of Amar, Akbar and Anthony.

The story starts with the reader's introduction with the trio, passing on to the weaving of the plot and then a funny and rather chaotic climax.
Not every author makes his characters pour "chai" on bun maska, Jeet Gian did and it was pleasant.
Most readers skip the acknowledments and about section etc of a book in a hurry to reach the story, but if you want some extra treat, do not skip the first few pages as the author surely knows how to tickle one's funny bone.
Batman in white pajamas, ill fitting Joker and a Scarecrow riding a triplet tandem cycle is the funniest thing that can happen even in the wildest of dreams.

Ratings- 3 out of 5 stars.

The horror porno scene with Tukaram was a bit confusing though the understandable details were humorous.

Despite being fun, the book happens to be an one time read.
The book is not for the ones with low imagination as the scenes in the book are fun only when the whole thing is imagined, just reading would tag them as boring.
The climax was way too much chaotic to be kept track of while reading. The plot would be better as a movie than what it is as a book.

BOOK REVIEW

This Novel (Each chapter) provides an entry to the most common controversial practices prevailing in India, from the likes of Under the Table (Bribe), Prize-Fixing, Tax-Havens (Hawala) and many more and the Situations are created in such a way that You will have to keep the Book aside and laugh holding your Stomach.

For an Artist, the most difficult thing is to bring Happiness, Laughter and Smile to their Audience.

But the author has very well used the words in such a witty and sarcastic way (Comparing Ruma and Suma to Sonia and Maneka Gandhi, Damodar (aka Damu) and Ujjwal to the likes of Amit Shah and Manish Sisodia) to create an humour out of everything. He has perfectly used references from Today's World and taken care of each and every minute Detailing.

When You start the Book, Don't expect anything..Starting Chapters lay foundation for the Story and Characters, But once it is done, it is one of the Best Comedies to come across.

Favorite Moments:
#Beginning and Ending with "We shall Overcome..We shall Overcome.. Someday"
#First meeting of Amar-Meghna, Akbar-Farah and Anthony-Sarah.

Relatable Moments:
#Not able to Focus on work after meeting Someone and Trying to Find them.

Epic Moment:
#Raj-Suhas asking Ruma-Suma to let them Enter the Room.
#Ruma-Suma-Shobha's way of Handling Pawar Brothers.

I would like to conclude by saying that "The Three Wise Monkeys" is a Light Fun read which is quite an amalgamation of Comedy and Action Thriller (just like a Rohit Shetty Movie) with various Twists and Turns.

The Author has TRUELY CHARTERED the Novel to the ACCOUNTING Perfection!

Review –
The three wise monkeys was a really enjoyable book because of its simplicity and inspiration from Bollywood tales. There were different characters who were meant to entertain the readers only and their presence brought up the whole phase in the book very efficiently. With a great middle and a great chaos created, the author couldn’t match up the level in the end. But still the book was a light read with equal amounts of everything like friendship, struggle, lust, love and the everlasting need for success and fame.

The Three wise monkeys By Jeet Gian

It's author second novel and you can see his great attempt on this novel.
This novel is intresting and impressive by the words of author. Cover is also captivating which shows the story of title.
The story is hilarious and quite enjoyable. Its interesting how three 'wise' boys get into big trouble and use their intellect to get out of the mess. Its a nice read.
The three wise monkeys (pun intended) are Amar, Akbar and Anthony, who believe in the rising of the portent and live a reckless life. With divertingly sappy presumptions, these three protagonists walk on the path of love only to find more troubles. Some might say that these three get their comeuppance, some might even empathize and some might just enjoy them as characters. whole story around
The trio—Amar, Akbar, and Anthony—had no clue whatsoever about their goddammit-indecisive-careers-and-indefinite-struggles.
And that was because they were born with the Peter Pan Syndrome and were simple enough to be tricked by anyone, including their mystifying girlfriends—Meghna, Farah, and Sarah.
The first half of this book runs with an placable pace. It doesn’t let you get bored. I liked the way; Author used Indian current-affairs to create smiling moments, Like Pointing to Modi's Govt., Vijay Malaya etc. Author has created very genuine characters with words, I loved them all. Author's writing style is also pleasing, I mean it don't let you to close the book (without reaching your reading goal.)Second half is little down from the first one. I felt like few scenes were too strung. It can create little-bit negative effect on Reader's mind but story quick amazing and the climax of the book is similar to retreat in a meal. It is totally unexpected, especially the last few pages which shows interested for readers.
My rating is-
Story plot : 5/5
Narration : 4/5
Cover : 5/5
Total : 4/5

If you are looking for a book that will make you filled with light humour as well as the monkey business in a CA's world, then this book for you. Indeed the tagline, "Life is exciting when you have money, honey and cronies" fits to the tee. The thing is this book has no marked chapters and you get fully immersed in the world of three chartered accountants who are looking to live for a living and still freshers in their world. I recommend this to all those readers who like light comedy and are curious about the world of black money.

Happy Reading folks.

The characters are well crafted, their descriptions are clear and the storyline is different. But as an avid reader, I wasn't able to keep my interest intact in the book. It really has the Bollywood kind of feel to it. The comedy and the dialogues are something we'd really enjoy watching on the screen. And that may just be more fun than reading the book.
The number of characters and the way they cross each other's paths really give you a tinge of Comedy of Errors. The story has a lot of pun (seemingly intended) and lines that strike just at the point. The book also provided an insight view of the CAs and their ways of functioning. It shows the kind of corruption and the ways we try to twist things to escape.
Overall a good read, yet I'd say you may enjoy it if you really like reading a story on the Bollywood lines.

Starting with names of the three leads to the ending, with the ticklish one liners... The book can be a perfect script for an young adults Indian Movie.

It also narrates in its own funny way how 3 CA graduates like many graduates in our country dream setting up a perfect startup company. Are the decision taken by the monkeys wise.. time has to say (or in this case the ending... ;) )

A story of 3 CA's freshers, who have big dreams to achieve something in their life, tackled by life and how they tackle life back. Great story.
