# NOTE:
I have read this Book Thoroughly with Old Ncert ( though Both are SAME, but this have Few Additional Points ) as well as Romila Thapar for Medieval India, so following are the Observations,

@ Most important thing is This Book Helps a Lot for getting acquainted with Medieval History.
@ South Indian Kingdom History is Best depicted in this Book.
@ Mughal Empire after Akbar is Given in atmost Details.
@ Maratha Empire is NOT Sufficiently Presented. Better read GKToday notes for it.
@ Description of Kingdom is done using MAPS, which is Very Useful for Understanding.
@ This book combined with Old Ncert will be More than Enough for the Medieval Part.
@ Questions comes Straight away from this Book. For Proof Please check 2014,2015 UPSC Prelims Papers and ALL MPSC Papers since 2008.
@ Presentation of Book is NOT SIMPLE. Though its Sequential, but could be Confusing as various Era & Kingdoms are intermingled.
Example: While explaining Akbar's Regime,Lot of Rajput Regime is Involved in between , then there's Sudden Jump to Mughals.
@ You WON'T get its Online Copy anywhere, except in Delhi Coaching classes. So its Better to Purchase this Book if you reside elsewhere from Delhi.
@ I Personally Did Not felt need of reading Romila Thapar after reading this book. But its always better to skim all the material you have.

VERDICT :
As already mentioned, this Book is Must for Medieval. If you are Preparing for Civil services, then whether you Buy this Book from here or else where ,PLEASE DO READ IT.

Thank You.

Though upsc focuses on Modern History the most but for a clear understanding of Medieval Era, this book is the best to read.

Evens Authors seems to be playing secular card. So sad, as Indians we are not even equipped to know the factual information.
