I think it's really pretty (I got the blue damask flower design). It's ridiculous how long I spent looking for the perfect iPad case for a reasonable price. Like, I don't even want to admit how long I sat at my computer looking through options. So by the time I found this gem, I quickly added it to my cart and checked out before I could change my mind again. Many of the other cases with some sort of graphic design on them are childish looking and lack any sophistication that, say, a 30 something year old woman might enjoy. This one caught my eye right away. It's very elegant looking, in my opinion. It matches other devices and things that I already carry around with me. And I like when things match ;)
It lacks a few features I would have liked to have, but out of sheer exasperation (and how much I liked the design of it), I just went with it. It's just impossible to find a case that does all the things I want it to do it seems. The only feature that I was really after that I got out of this is the auto wake/sleep feature when you open/close the case. But I knew what I was buying, and that it didn't meet all my key requirements....but I was so tired of searching. So, I digress.
Without it doing all the things I wanted a case to do though, I'm still pretty pleased with it. I will agree with a few other reviewers who said it's a little cheap feeling. It's a bit on the thin side (but hey, it's also cheap to buy). But on the other hand, I don't really care for cases that add a lot of extra bulk to the device either. And I don't plan on being very rough with my iPad. If yours often gets tossed in a bag with other junk, or you have young kids that handle it a lot, I'd suggest something more rugged. The auto sleep/wake when you open/close the case feature works like a charm.
What I don't understand is why they include a stylus, when there's no place to store a stylus on the case. So, hey, great--a stylus. That I'll lose in less than a week without a proper place to put it. It would have been nice if there was a little loop to hook the stylus into.
So far, it does a good job of holding my iPad in an upright position. We'll see over time with more use, but it seems pretty sturdy to me. When I want to just hold it normal in my hands, the front flap can flip backwards out of the way so it can be held more like a well loved book. The little magnetic flap sticking out doesn't bother me, though it could just be tucked in to be kept out of the way if it bothers you.
Overall, it's decent for what you pay. If you want a fancypants case with all the bells and whistles, and superior device protection, then expect to pay more. The reviews complaining that a $14 case feels cheap....well yeah. Because it's $14. If you care about aesthetics and don't want to spend a ton, this is a pretty solid option.
I can attest that it does offer protection to the Ipad because I dropped it on my tile floor and the Ipad screen was not broken or cracked.
I would definitely recommend this product and would repurchase in the future.
