About the Brand :

Typhoo Tea Limited is an over 100-year-old iconic British brand with a rich heritage stretching back to 1903 when Birmingham grocer John Sumner developed and sold a blend of tea in his shop. Over the years, Typhoo has developed from being the first brand to sell ready packaged tea, to being a leading tea business that now offers products in every sector of the tea market. Brands such as London Fruit & Herb - recognised across the world, Heath and Heather - offering a natural fruit and herb product to an audience growing in health awareness and Melrose’s and Glengettie, regional favorites in Scotland and Wales.

On 31 October 2005 Apeejay Surrendra Group, one of India’s largest tea producers with 17 plantations across 50,000 acres in Assam, acquired Typhoo and its associated brands.

I used this one previously. This tea bags tastes good only when we use water to make tea rather than milk. For people who love to drink tea with milk, this is not a good choice at all.

You know you are in for something special when you open the bag itself, and the aroma of fresh tea wafts out.
For something as personal as tea, far be it from me to recommend anything like the universal 'best' choice. Indians love their tea, and I can only say what worked for me. I liked it, YMMV :)

It has a much fresher aroma, unlike the leading brands. Somehow feels like the roasting process was lesser or something. This carries on to the tea itself - it is on the green side of black tea. Anyway, it makes a smashing cup, and one can dreamily sip on it and look back to the glorious days of the Raj when the melanin-challenged man was in control and all was right with the world :)

Plain favor, no scent. Probably not a good idea if one wants to have tea without milk and sugar. Packing is very good though. It is definitely better than Lipton or Tata Tea, but not at all as good as Goodrick roasted.

At present I won't recommend this product. The batch i received seems to be artificially coloured. Bad taste. Planning to sent it for food grade testing. Update you after getting lab test result. Unfortunately I purchased four boxes and the item is not returnable.
