Think and Grow Rich is the best motivational literature that I ve come across. I was involved in a certain marketing stint during my engineering, and this book was suggested to me by a friend, who is today one of the finest motivational speakers. The book presents the essential commodities for success, in the simplest terms possible. The book is build with research conducted by Napoleon Hill for over 25 years, interviewing successful people like Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell to name a few. --Santosh J K on 03 Mar 2013
The story goes like that, i was once wondering in the street mhatama gandhi road or like that which connects ahmedabad railway station to Bhdra kali temple in 1982. In between the road there was one bridge below which one second hand book seller was sitting with a pile of old books with rate as rs two each book. I bought ten books and one of them was this think & Grow rich. since i was engineering student at that time therefore i replced word money with knowledge. This worked well and still i remember the book which has astonishing effects and rejuvenate your action in desired directions to acheive any goal properly thought and decided by you --HARISH KUMAR. on 03 Sep 2012
This is a very good inspirational book. This edition contains commentary adding more examples of today. It will definitely change the way you think. I firmly believe that the methods described in the book can make anybody who follows them extremely successful. A must read for anybody who wants to be successful. I have just finished reading it, and I am going to go over it again. This is not a "get rich quick" book. --sapan maniyar on 12 Mar 2012

Napolean Hill's original book is considered a classic, and rightly so. This review is for a particular print of a particular edition: Think and Grow Rich (ISBN-13: 978-8192910918). You must first realise that this book was written many decades back, and is currently out of copyright. Meaning anyone can take the text, print it and then market it. The edition I am reviewing - published by 'Amazing Reads' - does say in the inner page that "This book is based on the copyright free version of the title and only uses extracted material from the 1937 edition of Napolean Hill's book." It is pathetic that there is no mention of how much of the original is extracted out, and what other modifications are made, etc. It is purely meant to deceive buyers. If that was not the intent then the publishers should have includes notes and introductory chapters explaining their rationale for their edits.
I realised much of this confusion only after my order for the above edition was delivered. To be sure I am reading the original I bought the kindle edition Think and Grow Rich: The Original Classic, which I saw in other reviews to be the complete, unabridged version, and compared the two to see if there were any problems. And lo and behold, in the very first print chapter 'Author's Preface" I found a problem. I have attached a photo of the page where the problem occurs - look for the funny word that I have marked out in Red box.Read more ›

the book also contains step wise guidance to master the above qualities.
this book contains two poems( MY WAGE by Jessie B. Rittenhouse and other THINKING by Walter D. Wintle) which literally whenever i feel low i
just read it and it brings back to me my winning spirit.
i don't agree with everything what napoleon says in this book but most of the stuff is amazing and life changing.
the page and printing quality is good and the font size is easily readable .
in general its a must have book for everyone in there collection .
I've already reviewed this book - Think And Grow Rich ('revised and updated edition' by Arthur R Pell) Published 7 October 2004 by RHUK.
But I ordered a second copy of the same title mainly after coming across a review of the revised edition on Amazon.com where one of the reviewer warned buyers to not go with newer/revised edition because it was abridged and missed a lot of information when compared with the original unabridged edition. Well I had got myself the revised/updated R Pell's edition at that time, thinking revised new print will have more content added into it. But as it turned out otherwise, I really did not want to miss a single word from Napoleon Hill's timeless classic, so I thought of going through and here's my review for the Original Unabridged 1937 Edition - Think And Grow Rich.
So to answer the questions, does the updated edition which happens to be abridged miss any chapters? Surprisingly, yes. Do we lose a lot of information? Well, not really but it's a question of authorship.
Let me explain, the first couple of chapters - Chapter 1: The Secret Of Success, Chapter 2: Thoughts Are Things from the 'Original Edition' are in fact missing in the Arthur R Pell's Updated Edition. I really wanted to make sure, so after going through the two chapters in the Original Edition and reading the updated edition, I learnt that Arthur R Pell has sort of paraphrased those two chapters into one single chapter called 'The Power Of Thought'- (Chapter 1 in newer edition). From then on, the Chapter titles are almost the same in both books apart from Arthur R Pell's lag a chapter behind also has updated examples/case studies.Read more ›
