Top Customer Reviews
Regarding the book, it is an excellent book for beginners. Diagrams are given in detail to make each and every point clear. Must have book.
One advice is that you will have to solve each and every example and also exercise problem to strengthen your concept. Multiple choice questions are also given but they are only very few in number.
If you are building concepts for GATE then this is a good book to follow and a must read one. If you are preparing for IES, this book sure is one of those which will help but I would suggest you to supplement with another book also (just for problem solving).
The highlights of the text book are:
*Adequate theory combined with problems
* wonderful worked examples
* exercise problems at the end of each chapter
* complete coverage of syllabus all Indian universities
*good for GATE exam
You will find all types of problems in this book.
This book is suitable for honing your problem solving skills.
However, Bevan's book on Theory of machines is good for developing theoretical understanding as well as good selected problems.
Bevan's book is the mother of all theory of machines books.
