We can say it is story of an angloindian boy and his local natives. But beyond that a man's love for nature. Bond through this novel gives us a picture of a Himalayan village. The falls prestige of white make him so crual. Our first Primeminister's 125th birth day was celebrated by his white bahu of the family and Italian I ndian graaaand son.

I happened to read it, in Dehradun, where most of the plot is set in the book. I purchased it in first place, because i wanted to know, how Ruskin Wrote when he was 17-19 years old(because i'm a wannabe author too). The metaphors that he used almost regularly throughout the book is baffling, i ravished it. The ravenous thirst of some really natural and not market intended story line, was absolutely full filled. Though it is a puffin classic, it can be read by adults too. It's a story of coming out of the identity of nothing, streaming through the love hardships of teenage boy. Full filling read...
