I've used it for a few years now and I'm amazed that it's still looks like new. Even though I dropped my phone a few times, my screen never got cracked. Fits perfectly. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're looking for a band that provides protection, this is it 23 September 2013
By B. Molloy - Published on Amazon.com
I have had this band for around 10 months, and it works exceptionally well. Our house has stained concrete for the floors, and the phone has hit those floors many times--including a couple of times on purpose to show one of our kids that the Tech21 band works as advertised.

I noticed a two star review in which the reviewer states that s/he doesn't believe the band would provide any protection against drops. Uniformed opinion.

The only complaint I have is that I wish it came in all black, or anything to hide the orange 3DO stripe on the inside of the bumper. I understand that that is the material that provides the protection, but orange is such an ugly color.

However, I still give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it is supposed to--minimal impact on the phone size and great protection against drops.

4.0 out of 5 stars Protection with slim profile 28 February 2013

I had been looking for a case that would work with some of the 30-pin to Lightning adapters I now need to use my car charger etc with my new iPhone 5. At the same time, I didn't want a case that was too bulky (tried the Otterbox, which was great but like a brick in the pocket) or that didn't offer any real protection (had tried a Belkin case that was next to useless and wouldn't prevent any damage greater than a scratch). This case had been recommended to me, and, having seen it in person, I thought I'd give it a try (found it cheaper on Amazon). I'm pretty pleased with it and plan to keep it for a while. The case doesn't add too much to the svelte iPhone profile, but I feel like it would do a decent job protecting it in the case of a fall -- thankfully I have yet to test this theory, but I feel reasonably confident in the case. The material it is made out of seems both dense but shock absorbent. It looks pretty good, with some orange highlights, but protection with slim profile was my main concern, along with accommodating the Lightning adapter. I'm very pleased with my purchase, the only drawbacks with it I see are that the back seems to be a little bit of a fingerprint magnet, and, as other reviewers on Amazon have noted, the volume/power buttons are pretty tough to depress. I don't find them unworkable, and it doesn't take a lot of effort, strength or time, but you do need to press harder than you'll be used to. If that's a deal breaker for you, look elsewhere. For me, every case is a tradeoff, and this one hits the mark on all the other issues that matter to me with aplomb.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ex 10 January 2014
By Jason McKenna - Published on Amazon.com
I was in an Apple store looking for a slim, non-slipery, stylish (yet conservative) case for my new iPhone 5s. I tried every case in the store! Credit goes to Apple for having a large selection. None fit my criteria, but the Tech21 came closest. I wasn't crazy about the color choices Tech21 had, but they fit the bill on every other condition I was looking for. My primary condition was that it be made of a non-slipery material that still offered good impact protection.

The reason I gave this case four out of five stars is the bottom of the case had slightly sharp edges that dug into my pinky finger when using my phone. I corrected this by quickly passing a lighter under it to round off (melt) the edges (without the phone in it of course). This worked perfectly and now the bottom doesn't dig into my skin as it did before.

I would recommend this case.
