3.0 out of 5 stars For style only 26 April 2016

When selected to review the leather flip stand case I was pleased because of the look and color it seemed like it would be a nice, stylish, protective case to have. What I got was a flimsy shell, the PU leather seemed to be a thin layer applied to cardboard and will not hold up if you plan it for daily use. The "door" gets in the way if you try to use your buttons and is not secure. I always try to find something positive when reviewing a product and with this it would be the color of the case. Very disappointed because I purchased two different styles. I really liked both designs. The case is for style only. I got what I paid for. I received the product free or at a discount for a honest review. Through reviewing products I am allowed to try new products I otherwise might not buy. I am also a disabled homemaker who does the majority of my shopping online so I depend on honest reviews the same as you. If this review has been helpful please click "YES."
3.0 out of 5 stars Not a fan, but an ok case 20 July 2016

First off, the auto shut off/on function sas that it needs an app. I haven't been able to figure out what app, so that function doesn't seem to work for me.
Secondly, it's not leather or any where close to lesther. It it more of a heavy canvas like fabric glued to plastic.
The binding for the flip covers the volume and is hard to press through the binding. I listen to audio books in my car and have to fiddle with the volume at times. It's distracting to have to flip open the cover to turn the volume up.
It's not a bad cover, just not my cup of tea.

I have recieved this product at a reduced rate for an honest review.

I've been enjoying a similar case that my husband got me for Christmas, but I was finding it annoying to try to take pictures or video with the case with the outward facing camera because I tended to fold the case back around the phone, so what is the front flap when the case is closed would be in the way of the camera. And holding the case wide open like a book to take photos was sometimes awkward, especially when trying to do so one handed. So when I saw this case, I liked the idea of that front window, figuring it would help with just that scenario.
Well the good news, is it does. The window is in just the right spot, so that there is nothing blocking the outward facing camera even if the front flap is against the back of the phone. However, because of the clear cellophane type material in the window, it usually makes the photo appear a little foggy or at least not as sharp as without anything in the way. The other issue I had is it's not very easy to get the case off of the phone which I need to do regularly since my charging port broke, so I have to change out batteries at least twice a day. There is already a crack in the back part of the case because it has been so difficult to get it off without breaking it. I also expected there to be at least one credit card slot in the inside of the front flap like most cases with a front tend to have. It's also kind of strange that there is no closure to keep the case closed, like most cases of this type have. I know that neither of those features were advertised in the description, or showed in the product photos, but that's something to keep in mind. The front flap feels somewhat cheap and flimsy, but the back casing feels much sturdier. The color of the front is beautiful though, and has a gorgeous opalescent kind of sheen to it.
All in all, I would be disappointed had I paid full price for this case. It's just ok for the price I paid. I did receive it at a discount in exchange for my review, which is always honest and unbiased. However, I did not receive any compensation from the seller for my review.

The case fits nicely with the Galaxy S5 and looks like it should protect it against the occasional drops. It does not lock the phone when lids is closed, I read elsewhere you need a third party app for that but there were no instructions or directions included with it.
3.0 out of 5 stars not sure if I like it 26 June 2015

I just got this cover for my phone last week and still can't decide if I like it. It seems a bit flimsy, yet bulky. It does the job protecting my new phone, but if I could touch it before buying it, I probably wouldn't.
