2.0 out of 5 stars Ugly design, rattles, sound not great. Others are better. 12 February 2014

So I think I can write a pretty valuable review as I purchased these, along with 3 other BT headphones to compare them all. The prices were so similar, the reviews were neck and neck and so were the specs (except for one pair). It was just impossible for me to tell which ones I'd like. The biggest reason is anatomical. You really have to try them on to know.

So these are the 4 total headsets I bought:

- Arctic P311 - ~ $28
- Kinivo BTH240 ~ $31
- SoundBot SB240 ~ $25
- Sony MDR-AS700BT ~ $95

I'll do a quick sum up of each and why I returned or kept it.

- SoundBot SB240 - These are probably, to me, the ugliest ones. The buttons are cheesy-looking and big. The sound was also the worst on these. Not BAD per se, but I could tell the others sounded better. Also, the rattling sound was hugely prevalent while jogging in place. So it made it a no-brainer that these would go back.

- Sony MDR-AS700BT - I kinda wanted these to blow the competition away to make my decision easier. They didn't, unfortunately. The first thing I want to address is that these are not particularly heavy at all. In some of the reviews people note they are heavy. I'm pretty sure I know why they would say that though. These headphones squeezed my head tighter than any wrap-around headphones I've ever had. I believe this was done to ensure they would stay on your head during exercise, but after about 15-20 minutes of use, my head actually started to hurt. Also, they didn't share room well with my glasses. Lastly, the sound. These things were definitely the most powerful-sounding of all 4, but as mentioned in another review, these were SUPER bass-y. To the point where it sounded muffled. And I like my bass as much as the next person, but it was too much. You could tell the songs you're listening to weren't meant to sound like that. I also did mess around with the EQ on my iPhone but it didn't really make it that much better. Considering all of those factors and being 3x the price of the other headphones, these had to go back. I also thought these were gonna look cooler than the others. It doesn't, the headphones flare forward almost like making monkey ears out of you. These possibly looked the dorkiest while wearing them.

- Arctic P311 - I wanted these ones to be the one. Simply because, it didn't rattle, had an all black finish and sounded pretty darn good. Also, the battery life is twice of what I ended up with. The reason I chose the Kinivo's over these was simple anatomy. The Arctic P311 was comfortable enough, but the Kinivo felt just right on my head. It even felt lighter. It also sounded slightly better. These went back.

- Kinivo BTH240 - Obviously the winner. If the Sonys were balanced better, I think those would have won outright in terms of sound quality. These sounded 2nd best, with the Arctic P311 right behind it. Again, the main reason I went with the Kinivo was simply the comfort. I kept going back and forth with these and the Arctic P311 because i really wanted the all-balck finish but the Kinivo's were so much more comfortable on me. I could probably talk anyone out of the SoundBot and Sonys, but the last two are neck and neck (no pun intended).

4.0 out of 5 stars these things are perfect! Don't get me wrong 20 September 2016

If you are an audiophile, this is not than likely not up your alley. However, if you're into running or working out with a headset on, these things are perfect! Don't get me wrong, they sound pretty darn good. They aren't "Beats by Dre'" by no means, but then again they don't cost anywhere near as much as Beats. I run at least 3 to 4 days a week, for around 90 minutes. I sweat a lot and tend to over heat myself as I run. The moister from my sweat has not interfered with the Soundbot functionality whatsoever. In fact, as I over heat, in often pour my bottled water over my head to cool myself down, so I can keep running. The Soundbot still is as reliable as the day they came out of the box. The Soundbot has real good midrange sound, but is lacking the deep bass. They are plenty loud, and I usually charge it once a week. Although I have gone as long as 2 weeks between charges. I recently bought this new set of Soundbot headphones. The last set I had, I bought well over a year ago, and it survived all of my abuses. Since my wife and I shared that set, (she's an avid runner also), I blamed her for wearing out the old ones. Lol The old ones still work, they just won't hold a charge anymore. If I leave the power cord plugged into it, they still function perfectly. At the price these are sold, my wife and I think they are extremely exceptional in the cost to value department. Buy with confidence. I'm a fan for life of the Soundbot!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Decent Bluetooth Headphones! 19 April 2016
By Shamori Evans - Published on Amazon.com

These were the first pair of bluetooth headphones i have owned. I really was not a bluetooth fan before but after using these headphones I am now.

Build: These headphones are very light weight. They are foldable which I definetly love. When it comes to headphones I really dont care about the color, so the color is okay. In addition to the folding they also do this swivel thing with the ear cuffs so this is pretty cool for when you putting or resting them around your neck. Now I have had these for a couple years now and they are still going strong. One thing I notice about the headphones is that the volume +/- and foward/previous have become loose. They are not broken off or anything, when pressing them they jiggle a little but this does not affect my music listening what so ever. Like all other headphones and wearing for a while my ears started to hurt and therefore I take them off but this is not a burden, because this is a common issue for most types of headphones. The foam ear muffs I would are not the cumfiess to have on your ears, but this does not bother me much. You can answer phone calls as well which I had used quite a few times.

Sound:like I have mention before in my other reviews on speakers and headphones I am not a professional of any sort and I just like finding good sounding headphones and sharing my opinion with others. The sound on these headphones is great in my opinion. The is great and with a little tweaking in my mobile device audio settings and it sounds even better.

Connection; These are Bluetooth headphones and these headphones were very easy to connect to my mobile device and sounded great. I tested the distance of how long I could go until I started to lose connection and I got from one end of the house to the other end of the house until it started to skip. Also on certain mobile especially with my cellphone I staread to notice that with my wifi on and Bluetooth on with my headphones connected the headphones disconnected a lot so, to fix this issue I had to turn off my Wi-Fi and this fixed this issue.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good way to cut the cord 11 January 2016
By Trenton Bennett - Published on Amazon.com

My daughter loves the behind-the-head style of headphones, but I got really tired of having to replace pair after pair because the plug would short out, or she'd catch the cord on things, or some combination of both (ahh, the awkwardness of being a teenager).

She really loves these SoundBot SB240 Bluetooth headphones. She says they pair very easily with both her iPad and her iPhone 6S--which is a relief because the PIN number/press-the-button pairing dance that some Bluetooth devices have to do gets her annoyed really quickly and the next thing you know, I'm trying to make the things talk to each other. More importantly, she likes the sound they produce. Her music tastes trend towards Motionless in White and Black Veil Brides, so I can't promise you these will drop the bass like Beats by Dre. I can just tell you that they sound good enough for her ears and cost a lot less.

I'd tell you I would buy another pair of these, except to be honest I already have. I'm hoping these will hold up just because there's no cord to get snagged, but just the same, she liked them enough that I'm holding onto a second set just in case the awkward sets in again.
4.0 out of 5 stars These have held up pretty well. My Beats by Dr Dre 4 April 2017

Unless I am absolutely floored by a product, I will rarely give it more than 4 stars. BTW headphones are a dime a dozen these days. I use them at the gym, about 2 hours per day and 4 to 5 days per week. I beat the sh#t out of them etween the sweat and tossing them into the door of my truck until they get used the next day. These have held up pretty well. My Beats by Dr Dre, which I babied like gifted Ferrari died within 3 months and the replacement pair died 3 months after that. Never again. At the soundbites price I almost consider them disposable. But they just keep working. I even purchased a second pair to have on hand when these finally do bite it because you just can't work out without your tunes. These things just keep going tho. Would definitely purchase again
