Six Degrees is a collection of 3 stories being penned down by 30 bloggers which works out at 10 blogger per story.I got to lay my hands on this amazing book. When I started reading it, I could not believe that it is the efforts put down by so many bloggers because no where in the story, I felt the disconnect. It is my great privilege to review this book of my fellow bloggers.

Story #1: The Awakening

This story is a science fiction. If you love them, then this is just for you. I being an avid sci-fi fan and has watched the movies since my childhood could not hold my rejoice when I found it was one.

The story begins with lead characters Tara, Shekhar and Roohi - a small family of Dad,Mom and a Kid and when they get a visitor Cyrus after being referred by Tara's old friend and Professor, things starts to change.

Shekhar who was researching on alien life bumps into a blog post, the creator of whom has been in regular conversation with one Mr.Aryan Ahuja. Shekhar finds out that Aryan was hi neighbour and in the meanwhile he was joined by Jennifer, his friend.

The scenes gets changed in such a fast phase that even if I reveal a little bit more than this, it would be like revealing the whole story as it was closely knit and each and every page/incident is linked. I would recommend you to buy this book to try and find out who were the aliens and what had happened to them in the end....

Rating for this story - a Perfect 5/5

Story #2: Entangled Lives

Same characters as mentioned above and this is no less compared to the first one. Infact I liked the way this story was weaved.

I liked the overall concept about 6 Degrees - Game of Blogs since it was not only a unique experiment initiated by BlogAdda but it is also giving golden opportunity to bloggers to turn their writing skills to become an author. I enjoyed Entangled Lives story more than other two. However, overall efforts taken by Blogadda and the team is really deserve an applause. I received a complimentary copy and I am really glad that I was a part of reviewing this book since the book is simply written by bloggers, meant for bloggers and should read by other bloggers too to get inspiration from it. Genuinely to say good work team and keep it up!

BlogAdda held a challenge – The Game of Blogs, where bloggers were grouped into thirty teams comprising of 10 bloggers each. They were then given five characters and they had to weave a story with those characters.

The Storyline - As I mentioned earlier, all the three teams came up with different stories, so I shall in short mention the characters of each team and the jist in short team wise .

All were given the following characters- Tara Dutta and Shekhar Dutta a stay at home writer ,Roohi Dutta ,Cyrus Daruwala a law student ,Jennifer Joseph a photographer and Arun Ahuja , the Dutta's next door neighbor .

Team “By Lines ”– The Awakening - Tara Dutta has a successful career in print media ,Shekhar Dutta ,is a stay at home Dad cum writer and Roohi Dutta is their 9 year old daughter .This one is a science fiction based story with an interesting alien invasion concept. It cleverly points out the evils of carbon emissions and greenhouse effects too.

I liked the graphic descriptions of the aliens and their super powers and the story stays sharp till the end but the writing style had lot of Deja vu to it.

The best thing -- our earth was saved in the end!

Team Potli Wale Baba – Entangled Lives -Here again the characters of Tara Dutta and Shekhar Dutta have similar job profiles. Cyrus is a law student, who also happens to be the illegitimate child of Shekhar Dutta .His love interest is Jennifer Joseph; fiery young Wildlife photographer .The story becomes interesting when the maid of the Dutta household is murdered brutally. Inspector 'Java “then sets off to unravel the murder mystery.

This one has a great narrative, the characters are all believable and well etched .

I received a copy of this book from Blogadda, which gave me an opportunity to be a part of the most unique concept by Blogadda that brought together a team of 30 bloggers to compile this book, that comprises of 3 different stories, which all are very gripping and exciting.
The characters are well knitted and the plot is truly intricate.
The three stories which complete the book are:

The Awakening – A science fiction
Entangled Life – A murder mystery
Missing – A Journey Within – A thriller

I would not reveal much about the stories as I suppose the genre says a lot as to what the tales are all about.

I enjoyed the book. It’s a very commendable effort on the part of Blogadda, that brought together so many bloggers to weave such an intricate book. So many creative minds jointly presented a single idea into three story-lines that were well crafted, developed and written. Language of the book is easy to read and keeps the reader glued to the plot. All the stories are steady paced with just the right amount of drama and thrill in them. The book is not age or gender specific, which is another plus point, and I am sure anyone would enjoy it.

Its not easy to come by such books, but when you get a chance to read them, you mustn’t let them go. I would definitely recommend this book to people out there as its a very unique concept that they must experience and be a part of. I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I am looking forward to more such initiatives with more people getting added, and kudos to all those who were a part of this immensely innovative endeavor.
