1.) Quality on the casing of the drive itself is very sturdy and the USB connector slider alone is a great fidget toy (very snappy being springloaded).
2.) Speeds are, (while not quite the advertised speeds for my application of file transferring) still quick with 70+mb/s for multiple files and folders being transferred to my HDD.
3.) Key-chain ring is definitely large enough for pretty much any chain (as I have it on mine most of the time and mine's one of those thick, threaded ones).
1.) As I stated above, the speeds leave a tiny bit to be desired (but that's probably just because I'm not transferring huge, single files.
Other than that; there's really no cons to this drive.
Bottom line is, if you want a drive that will perform with the latest in speed from SanDisk; look no further.
"Would you recommend this to a friend?" Absolutely. Yes.
"Is this good for the money?" Don't go cheap on drives. Any drive. I've learned the hard way and lost precious things. SanDisk Extreme drives give you peace-of-mind knowing that you've bought a quality product. (Wow. That sounded like an infomercial).
Sturdy build - nice clicky retractable usb design
FAST (check the CrystalDiskMark)
Lifetime Warranty - make sure to get from an authorized dealer
-Write speeds are not even close to last generation USB 3.0 drive
--The 4k Read speeds are about 30% slower and 4k Write speeds are 90% slower than last generation USB 3.0 drive (-1 star)
--Write speeds are supposed to be up to 150MB/s but I average 120MB/s over 2 different computers (see CrystalDiskMark)
Pulsing blue (not bright) LED is more prominent than the previous barely seen red LED (no stars deducted). It's not an issue at all as it has a smoked black cover over it and does not stand out at all. Some people seem to care about this so I decided to mention it. I was hoping for a nice refresh to the last generation flash drive but was disappointed. The write speeds are okay compared to last generation and I could live with that but the 4k write is atrocious. I also noticed the older drives had an SSD controller and these new ones do not.
