the phone is fantastic. Windows 8 is fast and it has all the features I need.
Phone is well-built, can handle drops and bumps well.
Camera quality is good in daylight. I would highly recommend installing the "Nokia Camera Beta" available for download from Nokia website. This app allows you to take much better pictures with the on-screen dials that allow you to adjust white balance, ISO, Shutter Speed and even let you focus your shots manually. Excellent app.
The "Office" and "Quick Notes" are great apps. once I set up "oneDrive" on my phone, it backs up my documents instantaneously. Typing is easy on the excellent touch screen.
The apps and features in each menu are designed for easy user access in mind. They have worked hard on this phone.
there are a few drawbacks, but all in all I am very satisfied with this phone.
In fact, I like this phone so much, I bought one for my mother as well.

No point in writing about 520. One of the best mobiles. Needed for my Mom, so did not bother to buy 525. Extra RAM of no use.

Love the Nokia Music feature.

Amazon yet again beat every other online store with price and delivery. Thanks!

Nokia really launched this awesome series in the market, though price tag is little higher but I am really satisfied with this order.... using windows OS on mobile was little awkward initially but now I am very much used to it...

I feel Nokia or Microsoft will surely look into the easiness about using the mobile device with their feature and options.

Windows phone 8 is awesome and a refreshing change from Android. As regarding apps, essential apps are available and there are some games such as Dredd & Zombies, Reaper, royal revolt, etc. Temple run is running without a glitch, but its true that it have way less apps & games than the android or iOS.
The hardware is robust with Dual core processor and 512 MB RAM. The phone's interface is pretty straight forward and never lagged even after i have installed 100s of apps.
The only downside is battery performance is a little below par with almost a day with light to moderate usage. If you do heavy usage like 3G browsing, Videos or Gaming it hardly lasts for 4 hours.
Overall it's a decent smartphone experience under 8K, thanks to Nokia's strong spec and Microsoft WP8. Buy it, you will love it...

Pros:
Very easy to set up and use
Has WIndows Office version. Except that it has limited features. But you can read all your documents very easily on it
Direct connectivity to your PC. No cloud nonsense to deal with, at least in transferring photos and documents
Decent collection of apps. At least I got what I wanted
All the Nokia Apps are wonderful - Nokia Mix Radio is brilliant. The apps for photography are superb. Data transfer from other phones is decent

Cons
Battery is terrible
Sync with MS Live can be confusing with all the various accounts MS has (live, Hotmail, Outlook,,,,)

Not a great phone as compared to other similar segment phones. Started with problem of shutting down automatically whenever it was charged, switched on. Needed to switch on multiple times during a day. Trouble shoot in google and had to do reset again. Now working fine. Windows OS is not so compatible from the immediate switch from Android. I would rate 2.5 for this phone.

Nokia Lumia 520 is a the cheapest Windows Phone available.

Pros:
1. Windows OS
2. Looks Good
3. Screen size is ideal
4. Touch Screen quality is nice. You can use it with a knife's tip as well.

Cons:
1. No Front camera. However you can still use the back camera for video calling
2. Taking Pictures: Not the easiest phone to click and save pics

I bought this windows phone for 6500 odd on amazon, while it was retailing for over 9k in retail outlets and in other online stores. so i was bang for buck on top of that you get a solidly built Nokia mobile handset.
since this phone is running windows OS its operation in butter smooth. I gifted this phone to my friend and she is very happy with the performance of the phone.
All in all this a great phone and what made the deal unbeatable was the terrific pricing of amazon. Great job amazon
